Do we have a Suckage thread?

Really it doesn't matter who they play should they make the playoffs.

I am surprised they are winning games right now.

Big winning streak, McD with 92 points including 46 PP points, and $9M of cap relief used to ice a team.

4 forwards with > 60 points and the next highest poinst by a forward is 15.

$32M buys you 118 goals.

What if they had to play against themselves?

Can two teams lose?

Makes me wonder how their scrimmages work.

Playoff is a different beast, I feel they will make the playoffs but once they stick to Mclotto ball all game then the suckage starts again. Basically they are a two man team, still cant believe how much Nurse makes, lol what a joke.

Oilers fail again this year will really get the leaders thinking about long term careers if they want to stick with a loser team.

So, the Oilers are officially circumventing the cap now.

Yamamoto cleared to play but won't until they can make a move to cleat the cap space.

They actually seem to be thinking of waiving Puljujarvi, though that is crazy.

Call 30 teams in the league and get the best you can.

Even if it's a loss, it's still better tahn a complete failure.

Oh, and the NHL is turning a blind eye to the cap?

Can the Oilers not send Yamamoto to AHL on a conditioning stint or something to buy time?

Looks like the Holland solution is to play 11F and 6D.

That sounds familiar.

What I laugh about is that some analysts refer to the Oilers as contenders.

Lebrin - Oilers have the least cap flexibility of any Stanley Cup contenders.

They are contenders?

Currently in the 1st WC spot.

Barely a 500 home record.

Swept by the Avs last year.

Swept by the Jets the year before.

Lost to the Hawks in the play-in round the year before.

Oh well, beating us last year made them a contender.  LOL

I dunno how, but somehow I feel like they're more Bedard contenders than cup contenders.

How that would happen I can't explain but if they somehow drafted him I would not be shocked.

When is their next rebuild due anyway?  must be soon

Another year of disappointment for Mclottoballs team, I cant wait, its a curse for the greasers.

Literally a two man show, in the playoffs they wont have the benefit of half the power play opportunities.

5v5 they suck,

Tell me if you heard this before.

McD has 4 point game against the BJ's, including a shorty and PP goal.

McD 22 minutes

Drai 24 minutes

Nuge 24

Hyman 25

Team gets 5 goals and loses in regulation.

Should be called McPuckhog.

One other F has more than 13 minutes.

McD kills penalties just so he can get shorties.

Not much of a team

They gave up their top offensive D for a shutdown D.

Helps with the goals against, but impacts their scoring.

Better D all in all.

But NAS plays with structure, so will he even fit

From long term perspective, aweful aweful trade.

From short term perspective, on paper it's exactly what they needed.

On the ice though, it's perhaps best described as a gamble, but a little different.

In gambling there is a small chance of success.
