Tank hard for Bedard!

This is actually Sutter trying to get in.

That is the laughable part.

The more he doesn't seem to get it, the more we are going in the wrong direction.

I will be honest, I have no desire to win a single game from here on in.

15 of 19 games at the minimum is not realistic.

A 16th overall pick is useless.

We had a better one when we got Coronato.

Well people expect coach to change it us cause were losing atleast darryl is trying in our eyes it may not look the best but it is the effort

I just think it sends the wrong message demoting one of the hotter players to the 4th line in order to get Ritchie going.

Not that Ruzicka deserved better. But he was scoring at a decent clip and the team is begging for scoring. It is a dichotomy.

just makes me go hmmmmmm?

Nobody is disputing the need for a change.  It was obvious for the last month.

The problem is that he rewards the negative and penalizes the mostly positive.

Did Dube have a bad game?  Debatable.  The entire line stood out as ineffective.

Did Huberdeau and Kadri blow?  No debate there.

If the 4th line was without fault, why is Duehr missing?

Some recent history for you.

Lucic was on the ice for the game tying goals against the Leafs.

We only had one for the entiore game.

He was on for the first BOS goal against.

BOS only had 5 shots the entire first period.

This isn't a hate Lucic post.

It's a joke that two players that have done a lot to help win games sit.

And a top 3 player who has already reached a career milestone for points in a season goes to 4th line.

Thought Nick Ritchie looked good last night with Kadri and Huberdeau. He really just needs to keep his game simple, go to the net hard and dig pucks out of the corner, that will create space for the other two to do their thing.

I'm not sold on the line yet.  It showed up in one game where the goalie looked a little leaky.

I think maybe Ritchie is a fit with Kadri, but more for an attack the net type of line.

Ideally, we have a RW that plays that game, not an elite passer playing RW to accommodate them.

Why it worked last night is because it created havoc in front of the goalie.

I would like to see Huberdeau again with Lindholm and Toffoli.

Maybe it pushes down Dube and Mangiapane to a 4th line, but that's just a number.

Coach won't agree, but here is what I think makes the most sense for now.

I would like to see Kadri and Ritchie paired up for now.

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli

Ritchie-Kadri-Coleman

Pelletier-Backlund-Dube

Mangiapane-Ruzie/Lewis-Duehr

Okay, so we are 65 games in to the season.

Huberdeau hasn't really stood out for any length of time.

The Lucic experiment.

Huberdeau on RW and Lucic on LW.

Some scoring, perhaps scoring enough to make sense for a bit.

Didn't really have sustained effort to get Lucic going.

Huberdeau on RW with Pelletier on LW.

Pelletier brought jump to the line.

Had some spark to Huberdeau but didn't sustain.

Huberdeau on RW and Ritchie on LW.

One game they scored on the first rebound of the game, garbage time.

Hasn't translated into anything.

Something like 36 games that Hubey has been on RW.

Playing about 2 minutes less per game this season.

24 points in that stretch.

Respectable but not high end numbers.

No changes to the Flames lineup at all.

Not that I expected it, but I guess a 0-0 tie is a win in the coach's book.

Marky either turned a corner after becoming a dad, or was fortunate to win.

The lines either play with some urgency or they revert to the mess we saw against DET (and a ton of other games).

Assumption based on yesterday's practice was that Adam Ruzicka was going to be back in the lineup tonight for the Flames. He implied in media availability that that's not happening, though. "Obviously, a little frustrating, right? But just day-to-day and work hard."

Well I’m usually the optimist, but at this point I think are playoff chances are very slim.

Time to sign Coronato, and revamp the lineup.

Hubie-Lindy-Toffey

Mang-Backs-Coles

Pellts-Dube-Coronato (speed)

Ruzie-Naz-Duehr (let Rosy take the draws)

Weegar-Andy

Hannifin-Tanev

Big Z-Stecher

As much as I would like to have Coronato signed, he can't until the end of NCAA playoffs.

Too late to help us.  The other caution is that he would need to learn how to lose.

Hard coming from a dominating team to a losing team.
