  1. The Avs have made some savvy moves but one that flies under the radar is the acquisition of Devon Toews. I think he's a huge piece that helped push them over the top. He has been brilliant for them
  2. Agreed. I wasn't trying to add fuel to the fire. Just pointing out respecting opinions is a two-way street.
  3. It is allowed. Just like it is also allowed for everyone. If conundrumed feels your post is BS he is allowed to say so. It works both ways my guy.
  4. Just out of curiosity. Was Sutter coach when Iggy was made captain?
  5. I like Musty as well. Where is he projected? I feel like he will be gone by our pick.
  6. Honestly I think making noise when you are in the playoffs is more important than making it every year. That shows true progression and desire to win IMO. The Iggy and Kipper teams made the show pretty consistently after 2004 but didn't have the pieces to ever get past the 1st round.
  7. This may be the first time I've ever agreed wholeheartedly on a post you've made. Strange times are afoot.
  8. Not to mention Backlund is about as consummate a professional as we have ever had.
  9. Same reason he was on ours I imagine. Intangibles.
  10. I'm excited to see Coronato a little more. I thought he was absolutely buzzing in game 82. Good experience for the kid as well.
  11. I gotta admit. The smug replies are a little much for me sometimes. 🙄
  12. I believe Weegar and Z are both better on their off side.
  13. Yeah, probably Feaster as the worst then. Aside from those particular moves though Sutter had some head scratchers as far as draft picks and *ugh* that Phaneuf trade.
  14. Hard no to Bowman for me. For many reasons, but first and foremost... Chicago didn't win a single round of playoffs after Kane and Toews signed their contracts.
  15. The picture of Feaster gave me PTSD. In all seriousness I've only been watching hockey since the early 2000s so to me its a toss-up between Sutter and Feaster for worst GM in Flames history
  16. Could have been worse. Could have traded down and grabbed Jankowski instead of having Vasilevskiy like my favorite gm of all time did 🙄
  17. This is why I hate the growing trend of conditional picks included in trades
  18. Agreed. The fact Sutter apparently has a great relationship with ownership is scary, as he likely has a lot of pull in player movement/acquisition and we all know how we wasted most of Iggys prime with Sutter pulling the strings.
  19. Caught my first game in a long time so its unfortunate to be on the losing end. Couple of things; Pretty bad first period but outside of that I thought the Flames really carried the play for the majority of the game. Only thing worse to me than the final score was the absolute piss-poor job done by the officials tonight. I counted no less than 3 blatant missed calls, one of which should have been a 4-minute high-stick in which the ref was standing directly in front of the play in question and somehow missed it still. Like, did buddy forget to wear his glasses today?
  20. I'm of the mind that Stone has never been better than he is right now. Always been a solid dman, but he has looked progressively better with each new contract.
  21. Absolutely. Its been hard for me to watch much hockey so far. I rely on streams as I dont live in NA and can't justify buying a sports package because most of the games are on during the ungodly hours of the morning.
  22. I heard much about the competitive nature of Johnny Gaudreau during his tenure here, and while it showed at times I dont think it even comes close to the type of edge both Huberdeau and Kadri play with on every shift. Absolute leaders out there.
  23. Was a good hockey game. Won 2 out of 3 periods I thought. Kadri looked great out there and that second line has been clicking so far. Lots of speed and tenacity.
