  1. I unfortunately haven't been able to follow as closely as some of you due to time difference. I did catch this one though and my goodness I nearly had a heart attack. Oettinger played genuinely spectacular. Markstrom made some huge saves when he needed to and the big guns came up big. Looking forward to seeing a playoff BOA for the first time in my lifetime. Ggs yall, catch you in game 1 🙂
  2. Let's put the Stars away tonight. Send them home with their tails between their legs. GFG!! 🔥🔥
  3. Jealous! I have never been to a playoff game. Luckily I've still got many years ahead of me (hopefully). Being sub-30 years old gives me hope it will happen one day 😂
  4. What a great start to the series. Ras and Klingberg getting ejected was dumb. Playoff hockey is intense. The amount of penalties called in days 1 and 2 is appalling, the refs sure are big on themselves for whatever reason. I tell ya. I wish I was back in Canada for this one so I could be a part of the C of Red. These are exciting times to be a fan. One down, fifteen to go. Let's go Flames! On another note I caught the Smith gaffe and D zone scramble that allowed Danault to get lost on his game winner against Edmonton. It gave me serotonin. Smitty can be a good handler but my God am I glad we are free from his mistakes.
  5. I agree with this. If I had to choose between Calgary not winning the division and Edmonton missing the playoffs completely, I choose the latter. Every damn time.
  6. Ducks played fairly well in this one. Solid effort from both teams. Michael Stone with a couple points in no. 500 is cool to see. Hes been a consummate professional this season. Tough test again tomorrow against a Sharks team that has our number this season. Hope we can flip the script. LGF!
  7. Sutter preaches details, and rightfully so. They got away from that in this one and it cost them. Could have been a different outcome if not for some wild goals from SJ but imo the loss lies with the team. They simply didn't play as well as they could have outside of the first half of the first and last bit of the third. Like some have said the Sharks deserve credit where its due though.
  8. Yeah this was a tough one. Sharks are the new Anaheim curse. One more chance to get a dub against them id prefer not to be swept in the season series. The shots that missed the net really killed us as there were no second opportunities. I think we missed close to 20 times and that, to me, is unacceptable. Oh well. On to the next one.
  9. Shots are even. Possession time is close. I figured they'd be a little slow on their first roadie but man was it nice being spoiled with blowouts during that homestand.
  10. Will forever be jealous of people for being able to watch some of the best Flames teams of all time in the 80s. I was still a ways away from being born 😂.
  11. As far as an all-around game is concerned he's elite in my mind. Bergeron is an elite center too. As a matter of fact out top line reminds me a lot of Boston's All around center: Bergeron-Lindholm Pesky high-scoring winger: Marchand-Tkachuk Elite offensive play-driver on the other wing: Pastrnak-Gaudreau. May not be identical in all facets, but its fairly close.
  12. Was nice to catch a game that wasn't happening during the ungodly hours of the morning for once. I only have one thing to say: TEN STRAIGHT BABY!
  13. Little sloppy with turnovers at times in this one but 2 point in the bank again and a tidy 9-game streak to go along with it. We won't be scoring 5+ goals every night so we need to know how to win the close ones. All too often in years past we weren't able to shut the door with a one goal lead so this was a gutsy effort.
  14. I know Lindy would probably be getting more Selke talk but Gaudreau is making a case hounding players for turnovers. Only Sergei Fedorov has won both the Hart and Selke in the same year.
  15. The difference between elite offensive talents when one is interested in keeping the puck out of his own net. Stellar numbers.
  16. Another game another win. Great performance by the PK unit and the top line gets it done once again. Though they got away from the details a bit in the third period, and definitely can't be taking so many penalties but a W is a W. Padding the lead at the top of the divison, the Avs are up right now so potentially widening the gap.
  17. Face-offs were key tonight. Especially the O-zone draws on the PP.
  18. Picked up Backlund in my keeper league and he's been money for the last couple weeks. I agree I hope he keeps it going.
  19. Continue pouring it on boys. That top line is on fire.
  20. I am tuned in as well. Just have some work to do at the same time so won't be posting much
  21. Nice win and great to see TT chip in in his first game. Big confidence booster. Glad to see Vladar get the start and W. Marky again tomorrow against Anaheim. Johnny is playing some world-class hockey right now. Encouraging considering the collective drop-off of our big guns around this time in 2019. Team seems to be getting better as opposed to then. When was the last time we could really roll 4 lines like this? Love that depth.
