  1. I will try this. Mine are usually overly optimistic, but oh well. Huberdeau; 90-95 points Lindholm; this one i mostly just want to see happen because it would be awesome but will also likely be my most outlandish prediction, around a PPG again but 50 of those points will be goals marking only the second time a Swede scores 50 and both of them being Flames. Kadri; 60-65 points Mangi; 25-30 goals 55-60 points. Toffee; similar to Mangiapane. Kylington, Andersson, Hanifin; all around 35-45 points. Weegar; I believe he takes the QB spot on PP1 and puts up 50 points. Markstrom; once again in the Vezina discussion though probably unlikely he gets 9 shutouts again.
  2. Poirier has come a long way in his defensive play. -42 in his rookie year to +30 last year. All while putting up numbers indicative of being a gifted offensive player. He is one of the prospects we have that I am most excited about. Hope to watch him a bit more this season
  3. Agreed. The Hurricanes are great organization from top to bottom
  4. I dont get the love for Chychrun to be quite honest. He is a solid dman, no doubt, but not a world-beater and honestly not really better than who we already have. Certainly not at the ungodly acquisition cost people have been throwing around here.
  5. Liked Eakin on Buffalo, Dallas and Vegas. Solid bottom 6 guy.
  6. If Huberdeau and Weegar aren't going to resign and BT knows this for sure he will deal them by the deadline. I sincerely doubt he would make the same mistake two seasons in a row.
  7. Id personally keep Kylington over Hanifin and the reasons are two-fold. Firstly - they are similar players but Kylington has a more dynamic skillset Secondly - Kylington is cheaper
  8. I agree with this, at times last season I wondered if Lindy might hit 50, now with one of the best playmakers in the sport on his wing will he be just the second Swedish player ever (and second Swedish flame) to crack the 50 goal mark? I'm choosing to be optimistic.
  9. What better way to soften the blow of losing two 100 point players than receiving one in return?
  10. I watch Huberdeau a lot He is absolutely an elite playmaker and offensive talent. Regardless of how I feel about chucky as a player and the situation treliving was put in, to get a player of huberdeaus caliber in a trade is a solid deal. Time will tell how this shakes out but all things considered. Treliving did good imo
  11. I have never been on the fire BT train but if we don't get AT LEAST what Vegas got for Eichel imma hop on the bandwagon
  12. Agree to a certain extent on Gaudreau but we most definitely should not have traded Tkachuk years ago. His value is the highest its ever been and we need to cash in now. Years ago we wouldn't be talking about this type of return and next summer we lose him for nothing.
  13. Lindy and Thomas would be a solid one-two at center
  14. Maybe we can flip our old pal "future considerations" for Roy... lol.
  15. At times during the season it looked like we really needed a powerplay quarterback. Andersson and Hanifin were acceptable, but Klingberg is better in that regard. Plus anytime you can get a RHS D without giving up assets it is a win.
  16. I think we need to remember that Kylington (unlike Andersson) was not given much opportunity prior to this season and definitely earned his spot in the lineup. He is still fairly raw at the NHL level and I believe he still has more to give, just needs more experience l. I'm hesitant to deal him right now, especially since we don't really have a replacement at the moment.
  17. Treliving said this at the draft as well.
  18. I still don't like the idea of either Strome brother. Too soft for playoff hockey. Plus Ryan Stromes numbers are inflated playing with Panarin IMO
  19. I agree its crazy what contracts are like these days but after seeing what Sergachev got from Tampa earlier as well as Cernak I am far from surprised.
  20. Sucks but now we have an extra 10M of cap to work with basically.
  21. And its official. Frank Seravalli tweeted that Johnny is not returning. Time to focus on others now
  22. Little of both I'd imagine. He had some magical years with us but some fans are going to be a little sour if he signs elsewhere. Maybe not Isles fans and John Tavares sour, but close.
