Well thats certainly the most cohesive and composed I have seen them this season so far.
Zary with another point. I thought the Backlund line played great but Coleman in particular was a force.
2 in a row! Let's keep it rollin 😎
I watched enough this morning to see that Zary's strong camp has given him that confidence to absolutely play at the NHL level
I agree with all who say he should be in the top 6.
The kid has game
When you look at the play itself it is rather miraculous how quickly he returned to action after a fall like that.
I expected him to be out for an extended period after seeing it.
These guys are in tremendous shape though and that can lead to quick injury recovery.
Caught the second period.
Markstrom looked good but the boys look tired otherwise.
I'm off to bed as its 330 and a few drinks deep. Don't want to make bad decisions 😅
The thing to remember with those Kings teams as well is they likely would not have won if Quick wasn't playing otherworldly.
Sutter hockey RELIES on stellar goaltending when it comes down to it.
As for your second point I would like to see them try Coronato with Huby for the reasons you outlined
Markstrom was dialed in.
Thought the second line looked good 5v5 and the 1st PP unit was dangerous as well.
Coronato was making things happen out there. Nice to have a guy who's not afraid to shoot.
I watched Honzek very closely this preseason and he may take a few years but the talent is definitely there.
Once he fills out and adjusts to the speed of the pro game we will have a good player on our hands.
I agree on Mangiapane but for different reasons.
I think he has the skills but his skating (balance in particular) doesn't match.
Dube makes it look easy skating-wise in comparison.
Great poise from Wolf in OT and the shootout.
Nice skill shown from Zary on his goal.
Been really impressed with Zadorov since the latter half of last season.
Thought Honzek showed short flashes but seems to not be used to the difference in speed between Junior and Pro quite yet.
The Zadorov comparison tracks for sure. This game he was more inclined to disrupt plays with good position and an active stick.
Along with his physicality he's frustrating for opposing forwards.
Kuznetsov is a nice steady presence on D and closes gaps nicely.
Morin had some great pinches in the O zone. Need to see more of him before I make judgements on his defensive game
Stromgren, Honzek, and Lipinski were the most dominant line for me.
Coronato and Kerins looked good on the PP.
Klapka had a good game but seems to hold on to the puck for a tad too long when he was putting moves on.
