Ducks are 1-4 in their last 5 in Calgary; we have owned them.

But, Flames are 0-4 in their last 4 home games.

Hardly a clash of the titans but the Flames are closer to a WC spot than a lotto spot (currently 16OA pick) may as well stumble into the post season since its going to be a mid to late teens pick anyway.

Remember, putting aside the great skill of the players, hockey is 90% a game of mistakes and bounces. If the team would have had lucky rather than unlucky bounces in those places, they would be looking more like a titan than a tit. It can still pay off. I would rather be half full than half empty; it feels better and is easier on my ulcers. Half full of BS you might say😃

It all comes down to the coming week.  If we don't stumble, it puts pressure on other teams.

If we stumble, we are basically done.

The joys of no man's land...no playoffs, not a top 10 draft position.

Crap or get off the pot.

Somehow, we managed to be bad enough to get Monahan, Bennett and Tkachuk.

I can see how we would not be as bad as we were during the year leading up to the 2013 and 2015 draft years.

A lot of mixed results between that and Tkachuk year.

The coach and players put us in this boat.

You can't just decide, oh I think I want to start winning.

You had your chance.  LOL.

With any luck theres another Backlund (24 OA) and not another Neimsz, Chucko, or Baertschi.

You mean a Janko?

It depends what the available prospects are when we step up.

It might be a Schneider/Zary type choice or a Coronato/Cossa type.

Not position, but level.

That was saying that 16 is not exactly a great area to be choosing.

In a draft that has 16 or so top end players, it's just picking whoever is available then.

Or trading to move up.

Best bet is to just call it now and shut down the injured guys.

If we had more room for error, I would say go for it.

We literally have one 2-game losing streak and maybe a couple OTL with the rest wins to make it.

If this was game 82 and we needed the win to have a 50/50 chance to get in?  Sure.

Instead, a win tonight means we need another 12 out of 16 to so it.

And that still might not do it.

Sorry so downer-ish.

The Bandwagon Bus ran over me, then backed up over me.

Sutter was driving.

Nah.

I gave up trying to tell the future; Lost money in the futures market trying to do that. It is what it is. The weather is what it is supposed to be. The climate is what it is.

I am merely trying to watch a game without having a neuro breakdown, or a stroke😎

Good luck with that.

I am using the reverse positivity plan.

When you have a sore stomach, eat a bowl of the hotest peppers you can find. It will form callus on your stomach lining, and you will never have gastritis again🥵💨

Hot out, drink a hot coffee.

It gets your internal A/C going.

Excellent.

Some goals goin in. That goalie should have had a penalty.

Markstrom looked great. He dint have to be out of the net so long. Bad time to move when Backstrom is trying to go through his legs with that pass.

That's 3 of 4 for 2 points. Do that 4 more times... Jets didn't help tonight. Mangie needs to try some different plays. Dube was seeming corralled. Bust through you guys.

They have to start scoring sooner or later. Mangi is stumped. I am sick of the posts period. What can you say?

Feels like Nashv might get that WildC spot.

I'm not going to watch the playoffs this year if no flames or jets.

 Evening fishing will be fun.

Is Nick Ritchie playing for the yotes again? WTH?

Just his brother.  We got Nick who was good enough for the coach to play him top 6.

Then not good enough to play 4th line.
