  1. Who knows what it might all bring. Scary. Now more complications before some needed focus on next season's roster.
  2. Here here! I was sad to see Gudbranson go. He dished things out, and he was a fine scrapper. Maybe he had more to do with Markstrom's shutouts than has been realized. I have heard Sarich talk like that too. Fine analyst in my opinion. I am growing sick of Kelly Rhudey's color content. He's becoming a wussy. I suppose he likes the IIHF 'no screening the goalie' rule. BOGUS!! Stetcher isn't that big but does he ever play big. Nice addition to my team.
  3. I forgot to comment on the inability of the players to even tie up a stick in front of the net. conundrumed, you were seeing all the things I was seeing. Stupid hockey, lacking the basic fundamentals we all learned about the game. I say bring center ice and the neutral zone back. There is more to hockey than speed. Next we'll see the goalies using tennis rackets.
  4. Go with Vladar and Wolfe, period.
  5. My thoughts too. There's got to be a way (I know there is) for the D to knock a guy in front of the net without bloody cross checking him. That's what I said too about 'good penalties'. Has everyone lost that part of their hockey vocabulary and intellect? This infactuation with scoring while ignoring good defense is flippin stupid. That kind of hockey, and not jyst the flames but all around the league, is not worth the millions the players are being paid. I can watch similar foolishness at the recreational level or at a game of shinny. I don't like what I'm seeing in 'today's game'.
  6. Good summary. Good thing this isn't your positivity thread. Good things can happen when you build on the good things. I gotta at least double your Markstrom percentage. I saw those things too: -No finishing confidence -No creativity -Slow processing the puck -Hot potatoe attitude in the defencive zone -Pinball passing -not enough crease traffic -poor goalie puck play -easy predictabilty -no swagger (like that french coach said) -stupid giveaways -not enough diving when beat on breakaways -not enough 'good' penalties to stop goals -too many bench minors -not enough fights😃
  7. Same thing here. We cheer for Winnipeg so there is a reason to watch. The coilers are the league's focus because of chimp mcdavid. Already lived through edmontonitis once 35 years ago; no bite this time. Kinda don't give a bean who wins after that. Battle of Alberta my acetone. I mean that positively. The way the game is heading, it is going to lose solid longtime fans.
  8. I guess this is where alot of us branch off to follow different teams in the playoffs. We are going to pull for Winnipeg because they too play an old fashioned hard nosed game. If they are out, I am going to get the camper on the road. I definitely am not going to watch Edmonton (or that boy girl who stiffled Bud Light's beer sales. There is a fish who wants to be in my frying pan😃
  9. Wolf, Woof, the puck has to stay outta there😀
  10. Players who aren't loyal to the team that is making them rich need to move along. That is a fact.
  11. The league leading 85 posts and crossbars were obviously not acceptable, and were a heavy reason they didn't make the POs. The crappy goaltending (Markstrom's own admission) was another other heavy reason.
  12. It doesn't matter to me for a different reason. If Lindholm wanted to go because his friend is going then his loyalty is in the wrong place, and he shouldn't be here. Good thing that is just an assumption. I had to make my living without my best friend being there. What kind of baloney would that be?
  13. Well I guess it didn't happen for the bad news bears; maybe it was lack of a great cause. Those 2 exciting young forwards, and that extraordinary young goalie are ready for the team. I am impressed. They'll get played next year. Walker is ready too. I feel that Markstrom might want to go; that would make things easier. That was a great game to end the season (putting aside taking a cup). I'm excited for next year; more so than the coming playoffs.
