I haven't heard anything definite, but from the replay it looked like his left knee hit the boards right before he skated off and headed to the dressing room.

The view of him skating off looked like he hurt his shoulder, but he was dragging his legs while skating.  Could be either.

Talk to the Hammer if you want to know a guy hurting.

Every game he takes a shot off something.

His bruises must have bruises.

His cuts are cut.

Kris Russell was accused for being weak defensively for doing such things. Hamonic is a HERO!

Russell was accused of doing nothing but blocking the puck and swimming in front of players.

Like rats on a ship, it's great to kill them, but if you have to do it too often, then there's a different problem.

Hamonic is a real trooper. I have also seen him take a number of shots to the body that seriously hurt. The missing teeth show what he has been through. He deserves praise for doing such a difficult job well.

With Neal out, the flames have recalled Curtis Lazar to fill out the roster.  Given the way Czarnik has played in relief, I hope they aren't planning on playing Lazar over Czarnik.

I would say Lazar is for emergency only right now.

Not to say that Lazar hasn;t worked out some of his demons; we just don;t know.

Czarnik was over a p/gp AHL player, while Lazar is closer to .78.....this year.

Czarnik earned his keep this year.

Has done what has been asked of him.

Hathaway has more edge, so he isn;t replacing him.

Czarnik is earning trust with the coach.

Czarnik 3 goals in 3 games...

  1. Broken stick on a wrist shot.  Puck doesn't care.  Still finds a way into the net.
  2. Point shot takes weird bounce off Czarnik's shin pads and in.
  3. D clears the puck into his own net.  Czarnik last Flames to touch the puck gets credit.

Meanwhile,

At what point does James Neal start stabbing his own eyes watching Czarnik rack up the stats?

At what point does Czarnik have the same luck he had in the early part of the season?

Fire and energy gets you so far.

Skill and experience should kick in.

Neal is doing the right things in the wrong place.

Maybe he's not really a RW.

Maybe Bennett isn't the best fit for him.

I'm holding out hope that Neal figures it our and the coaches find the niche.  Gord knows that Tkachuk isn't always a great fit on the top line.  Maybe Neal is that guy and we haven't had the need to do it?  Maybe the injury was at the exact wrong moment to try him there.

They were talking on NHL Radio the other day about Flames players saying having Neal back is a big boost as he settles everyone down when things aren't going well.

He talks to guys that are struggling and helps talk them down from the ledge and to not let the negatives get in their heads.

Makes little sense.  Makes it sound like Neal did his recovery in Sri Lanka while the rest of the team carried on.

No.  Neal has always been around always settling everyone down.  He doesn't have to do it in a jersey wearing full gear.

They were discussing his "return" to the team, which means full practice, being with the team full time. Don't forget, he didn't travel with the team while injured.

So while he's around in recovery, he wasn't around the team full time.

It makes perfect sense, you're just being difficult.;)
