That's a big thing for me man.  When I look at their concept pictures, and I look at the dome, I'm like.  yeah.  Dome thanks.

So, with all the recent shakeups, wondering how this will affect the Arena situation?   Feels like it could be an election issue now, but with the Flames not in the drivers seat

I don't think this impacts CSEC looking to build an arena.  I don't think the current climate allows for a woman-of-the-people mayor to spend tax dollars on entertainment.  The only reason why this isn't just cancelled and the Flames told to pay for the whole thing is the employment aspect.  As a major player and the potential for spin off employment and building, the mayor may view this as an investment though.  If she can figure out how to pay for this, while at the same time providing supports for the less fortunate, it will get done.

I think it's still locked up in that idea of finding a partner to share the costs.  Naming rights is the obvious one, but that's more after it's under construction.  I don't know that you can justify investment unless the profit is there.

I personally don't care how the arena looks on the outside.  The inside is more important.  I care more about the seating setup, viewing angles, and concourse design.  And behind the scenes, the dressing rooms, media lounge, etc needs to be world class.

I needa be able to pee .

Lol

ya, I didn't like the plans either. I think they need to look at a timeless one, something that doesn't look oddly futuristic. We all know that those old sci-fi sets aged really well. But I feel like that was what the designs reminded me of, something that is trying to be something that might not age well.

also, will to infrastructure, maintenance and so on be viable?

Go with something timeless, with more facilities.

To me, it's not the arena as much as the development of the area.  EDM is the worst possible example of development.  On a busy street with nothing but a Casino in the building (for Kane) and built next to a soup kitchen.  Not exactly Ghila Arena or Smashville level development.  Little Caesar's is probably closer to Nashville's than EDM.

It needs to be functional first.  Entry and exit.  Services.  An enjoyable experience.  Escalator?  No perilous trip to Press Level seats?  Proximity to other services.

So they officially have a deal in place and it's a much bigger scope than pervious. Up to over 1 billion as is more of a district approach as opposed to just an events center

but i'm going to pause until I see everything before commenting.
