Why are we trying to win more games just makes us lose a high pick instead of top four if we keep winning it will be a top 10 and for what a couple extra wins. I get it most have this belief that if we get into the playoffs which is very slim to begin with we could make a run at the what Canada cup ? Time to start looking at the future we need some top end talent and this time maybe we will can get a top four quality player. A Bennett type player that can put the puck in the net or a rookie of the yr type player. I would love to say first over all but we know the Draft is rigged and if your a flames team you can forget getting a fair shake buffalo has a better chance at first over all than we do.

I think Bennett's Ceiling no longer excites not for us any ways as for Heinmen he will never reach north America I'm afraid one good season does not make a career only thing left is the chance of picking up a high 2nd rd pick which seems to be the Flames ability to catch a horse shoe some times or perhaps BT will trade for 2 high 3rd or 4th round picks. I myself have lost any faith in BTs track record. I always get a kick out of how Conroy and BT can turn a lose into a line we were looking at Heinmen in the second last yr but Florida got him before us nothing like blowing smoke if you guys believe I have a package of bit coin I can sell you just barely used.

All these players are great players but as a team they no longer mesh and BT is just dropping good draft picks to raise the bar and we are sinking. It seems like the sutter area all over again. Now I know that removing the GM might not be any better than changing coaches every 2 yrs but time for new blood in the management office or grow some and make the hard decisions. Even with the last place finish this team would not be allowed the first over all it is a rigged game if Ranger were 10th last they still would get the first over all or any other team other than Calgary for some reason the NHL has no love for Calgary.

Isn't this just cool now we are going to try and fix things with another coach what's that old saying keep doing the same thing and expect a different out come. I don't see how this is going to solve our problem I just hope they don't turn him into GM as well.

This team is staie no question in my mind and I don't think it can be fixed with a bandage we have tried to plug a player here and there with no fix in site some of these games are starting to be hard to watch reminds of of the 7 yr drought. Ok so we have a few ready for the NHL but tell me how many NHL players should be playing in the AHL right now? Because the way there playing right now I think an AHL team could clean there clocks.

As usual what I have to say will not be a welcome comment and I really hate to say but I believe it's time to blow this team up we are getting worse each yr not better. BT has done everything fired coaches every few yrs grabbed goalies almost every yr we have some good peace's but as a team they just can't get it together GIO who I really like is losing a step MrT I think so far is having a mediocre season to this point but would not trade him .J hockey is doing really good we should be able to get a few first and some one who can jump in and help. Mony I don't know what he is worth but as a team they can't get it together. If we do some trading for picks like Boston did a few yrs back maybe we could get some good D and begin to build a team that can play together.

I thiink it is all up to Kyl don't you? If he hasn't made some progression from last yr and if Mackey a better upside better player all around then I C Kyl back on the Farm. It is disappointing but as we know it is a business and its all about the best player and Mackey has played college Hockey so he is close to NHL quality perhaps no NHL experience compered to Kyl but you would think Kyl should be miles ahead of Mackey and it was Kyl who went on waivers.

Do you guys believe that Ritchie is any better than Gawdin or any of our bubble players? I personally think it is sad that they bring in a A leaguer to take up a spot that our kids should have the chance to take. I know they want competition but it makes it hard for any of our kids to show there stuff on such a short preseason or should I say no preseason

Just trying to get some thoughts on where ppl think the NHL is heading hard to sustain a huge business like the NHL when no ppl are coming to the games when players seem to think they should get 9-12 mill a season. I don't see the business staying in tacked with that kind of greed ?

Now that he is playing in the K perhaps he will stay there why bother coming back to the NHL that might not even be around in another yr. Seems they are sending there players to other teams now this could be the start to folding up the tents ?

I am in for some kind of movement which allows to move from a first round and out but where do you start GH withers as soon \as the playoffs start and to big boys start to push him around and the whining starts. Now saying that in his defense the teams last few yrs did get away with breaking bones in his hands with no protection from refs or team mates but now he is scared to play his game for fear of being pasted by the big boys he just doesn't seem to have the same ability to skate circles around them like he use to. So from what you are saying might as well cancel tickets for remainder of the last season or 2 unless your willing to support a team who is going to use and abuse us for the remainder of there time in this City? I know right now it is a game of Chicken but if all fails and the Ego's of both sides don't bend and the Flames deside to move that would be a huge transition. There is no guarantee the team will succeeded where ever they go will also have to start a new name and jersey and if they go states way with the way most teams out there are struggling they could lose it all for yrs to come. Knowing that and the high risk from moving from a City that supports them a 100% as far as going to games buying there product to me that would be crazy. Now saying that do they know something we don't will they risk perhaps going to eastern Canada like maybe another Toronto team or perhaps Quebec ? To me those would be the only viable sites you could almost guaranty a successful Franchise. Flames did not threaten to leave. That is just a reality if you can't continue to operate out of an aging building and you can;t get any traction on building a new one. They might not have said it in so many words but the connotation was there as soon as they said it that is exactly what I toke out of it and I bet I'm not the only one.
