How funny is this Smid is back on the ice going to play with the Czechs Nice holiday for the D man gets paid for what 3 or 4 yrs and hits the ice what probably a total of 6 months Paid vacation nice work Smid to bad we can go to arbitration on him ask for a forfeit considering he didn't hold up to his end of the deal. I know he got hurt but to sit that long never play a game and get paid do we the flames pay him or is it insurance im not sure hope it is Insurance but if we still have to put an IR amount I guess we pay. Another Pronger type situation

Ok I know I already talked about this in another forum but how about FLORIAN HARDY he is not owned by an NHL team that im aware of and I know his play in the IIHF does not equate to a NHL type Goalie but I wouldn't mind seeing him signed for a yr just to see where he stands as an NHL player might bring his play to a team who needs a goalie desperately.

Why would any one think MAF will come to Canada unless Montreal and of course not going to happen with Price as # 1. LV Knights will be his destination they will through big bucks at him and he will be in a place where it all happens every knight get it . Money talks Unless the wife has different thoughts then it will be LV no question.

I don't think thats fair Mac faced over 35 shots most nights in junior and won lots of them maybe he is just having trouble adjusting to the speed in the next level. He could still become a great player like you said Goalies are impossible to predict. I think Mac will surprise everyone next yr and Parson might go to ECHL so they can turn him pro and could work his way into the AHL by mid season he is that good.There will be some changes players leaving and some coming in but I don't think we will retain our first this yr BT is a fart cookie I think we pick 16th this yr so getting a quality player is going to cost us that pick and a top prospect I just hope it's not Janks. I think Dube will get a Pro contract and Hickeys rights will be traded that or Fox I highly doubt he will come to Calgary he is going to be able to demand way to much on the open Market. Don't get me wrong would love to see both of them here just the College rules are crazy College players should be exempt from drafts or the players should have to adhere to same rules as any other draft pick. -

Thanx conundrumed to get that many shots against means we shouldn't have won any way. But on a good note I think we have our next backup next yr I think Rittich only because I believe they want Gillies to be ready by mid season or season after who knows I bet Parsons will be pro next yr. Parsons might just pass Gillies the kid is a monster out there but saying that so was Laurent Brossoit look where he ended up although Brossoit never won a gold.I guess you just never know what your going to get in a prospect they kill it in the juniors and some times not so much in the pro's. Look at me ramble on. -

Move them to Airdrie AB I heard they have a new Rink I guess problem is the travel which was a killer for Abbotsford Heat. I also love the announcer SJ score and it's a whisper the heat score and he blows your ear drums. -

Hard to win games when the refs and puck luck stick it to you every game just have to dump the bad blood that is in the system and perhaps all our ref and puck luck will change?

Being in the top league in Sweden you would think his mobility would be at it's best I guess they will just take any one who can wave a stick. I hope he can stay here on NA turf and become a great commodity for the Flames as a player or a chip in a quality trade. I know not nice he just got here. But in my defence we have Hickey coming I hope and he is also a stay at home D man with a hug up side lots of mobility. You can have so many of that type of player me thinks. -
So I was at the NHL site and first thing you see is 3 stars of the week and who is the ? Not Elliott But Bernie with his 3.0.0 with 1 shut out ? So how is that a goal with 1 shut out passes by a goalie with 2 shut outs and 3 strait wins I'm confused so 2 strait shutouts are not as star worthy as 1 shutout? Please thats so American Bias in my mind any way. Maybe they don't consider Sat part of the week? To funny I think it is very Bias group of ppl who choose.

Wow bringing up Andersson I bet Kulak is not happy I bet he thought it would be him being brought up since he has been in the top 1or 2 in the heats organization. Any Im pretty excited to see what Rasmus can do in the NHL hope he makes his day bebut a success. Go Rasmus Go

Well believe or not mac331 I agree on everything but moving Staj he is a great line of Defence But he will probably be up for auction due to his age. I my self hate to see him go it's good place to start the younger core kids to teach a little D in there lives staj is a good mentor but saying that I thought Hudler would stay awhile to keep the kids moving forward and mentor them a little more. Shows what I know the kids are doing just fine with out him. I think Brouwer will be an asset in the playoffs hopefully he is holding on to the physical part of his game for the playoffs to save on the body then Boom all out war. Ok I can dream. -
It doesn't matter which of the 2 you put in you can blame the D all you want but it is obvious neither Goalie is doing there job. It is there responsibility to stop the puck and they letting in very soft goals each and every night. I know every one is going to come back with letting to many break aways and sure most of the time you can't blame goalies on them but what about the other 3 or 5 goals they let in? Just crazy how the puck is suppose to stop there and it doesn't.

I think it is time to realize that BT is not doing his job it is totally obvious he has not addressed the goalie problem from last 2 yrs and still walking around with blinders on hoping his decision on goalies have not failed. Time to own up and do something about it if you do not have confidence in the men in the A's then you better start looking. To allow the oilers to beat us 4 straight with bad goal tending and stand pat with what you have tells me you only care about your arrogant self and not the team. Some one in management better stand up and say enough stop the bleeding .

Perhaps the summer break hurt El time will tell perhaps he just got a swelled head from all the hockey analysis building him up who knows but to date he isn't what was as advertised.

Seems to me that the only player that played last night was CJ shots 20 to 34 and some were goals if Elliot would have been in net. Don't get me wrong I think given time perhaps El could come out of this funk he is in but if GG puts El in 1 more time in the next 5 games he should be fired. Only way El should be in there is if CJ starts faltering or gets hurt.

It's funny but in this game it is what have you done for us lately Rams did awesome the first season with Hiller the next yr total failure. Usually on this forum most here are in the same mind frame just because some one did good a yr ago doesn't make for a solid Option going forward especially when they have done so crappy in the preseason against as most like to claim on this forum sub pare opposition. At least that is what I hear when it comes to Chuky and his success to this point so if Chuky is only producing due to lack of quality players then it only stands to reason that Chad should be killing it in net no?

So Ondrej Pavelec has been put on waivers with the way Chad has played I am not sold on his abilities to back stop this team in the future so why not have another three headed monster in the system. To this point Chad has not shown he can play in the NHL Mason might be a better option than Chad and that is truly not saying much. put chad on waivers and grab Ondrej Pavelec LOL Ok kidding but we need something to happen I don't see Chad solving our problem I know give him a chance but to this point I'm not convinced he will help this team.

Hey perhaps the injectors or carb depending on car sounds more like Carb though LOL. I'm not trying to dump all over Chad just saying he hasn't as of yet stood on his head and this team needs that. Saying that most teams need a goalie to do that on occasion that is what a Goalie is for. We didn't get that last yr if we don't get that this yr upchucks north of us will walk all over us they have upgraded in many ways I think getting Russel will help there Back end. Makes then dangerous just saying.

So i will take from the last 2 comments the D in front of Van was spectacular seen all 35 shots and no problem seeing every shot and poor Chad just had no chance on any of those goals. You do realize Calgary did out shoot Van right I might not have seen the game but did listen to the game on the Radio and didn't sound as bad as the score has dictated. Every D will have a bad night there is a reason for a goalie they are expected to stop the puck no? again we did out shoot and play from what I heard on the Radio ?

So what does a player have to do to stand out in your eyes MAC.? Looked to me like he did pretty good every time he was on the ice he made things happen did more for his cause than Poirier. I wouldn't be a bit surprised he passes by Poirier in the player standing. Hate to say it but Poirier will be a AHL regular nothing in his tool box to date to say any different at least to this point. -
Well so far Chad is no better than Rams was perhaps even less of a player in the few games he has played his save % is dreadful I didn't have the opportunity to watch so only can go by shots Calgary should of had at least 1 goal perhaps most were just out of danger or scoring chances. To this point looks like chad is just a bad choice the kid has not stood on his head not very convincing player in my eyes to date. Hope he gets better or we could be looking at a waver player and a swap between gillies and Chad.
