Ok then we have Carp I know nothing about him as a player but im sure he is not a top 10 player he is just a player with some NHL experience and he is a C. not much more than that. So Ruzie Could easily fill his skates as far as a point getter goes. My next silly question is on Coleman do you guys think he is earning his pay this yr or do you think he is not full filling his contract here as far as producing or even being a power forward type player? To me a power forward is a player than can prouce and bang and crash making the other team aware he is going to make them pay being in our end or even keep them against the boards or a good hard hit on the fly if you understand what I mean?

From what your saying T_D picking up Carpenter was kind of a waist of space when we have a younger faster kid that is already at hand. I guess I just don't get the reasoning behind such trades ?

I think it is great to hear Kyl has become the player I was hoping a few yrs back I always thought with his speed he would be great against McD he has the speed to counter McD turns out BT did awesome on the trade front that yr. He had some awesome picks 5 top players in the line up tonight that were picked or traded for in 2015 and ended up with Lin and Hann all playing for us this yr. Long winded I know but have to give him creds for how he works behind the scenes. Keeping Kyl and being patient with him turned oujt to work out for us. Sorry jmo had to spew my thoughts;)

If we lose JH and a few other players we could probably use Cor next yr I wionder how many of you think JH will actually resign with us?

Coronato was named Rookie for Feb pretty good Flames prospect Matt Coronato was honoured for his strong play, being named the ECAC Hockey Rookie Of The Month for February.

Wouldn't you want to wait at least until we no longer have our winning streak I don't think I would want to risk the streak just to see how the kids mix in? But after words would love to see how the kids do But i was informed that would hurt our bottom line money wise ?

I wish we would of had this winning streak closer to the playoffs we have seen to many times this team will kill it for a bunch of wins and when the playoffs come along we seem to lose that puck luck we had before the playoffs start.. I hope 960 is right and we have a total different team and will do way better this yr as apposed to later yrs.

Do you guys really think he will add any more PC's I think bringing up another kid might be the way to go Pelt or Mighty might Philips. We still have a bunch a games to go and now is the time to see what these kids can do.

Wouldn't it cost a ton of money to rebuild this team in another City with the rebranding and setup paying a ton for another Arena rental plus it's a huge risk that they will beable to bring in fans to fill a new arena. I do however believe they will not admit to moving to a new city or looking to move to a new city because they know fans here will stop supporting this team and they would lose even more in revenue. The way this economy is heading makes it even tougher to move on that is why they have opted out of the new arena the future is not so bright right now.

So do you guys believe we are going to be no more ?

Yes I have a huge anxiety when it comes to College picks to me it is a crap shot for Calgary when it comes to these kids since Coronato loves the Rangers he could just as easily decide to go to NY rather than playing his ELC with the Flames. Don't get me wrong I truley hope he plays for us I just don't have that fuzzy feeling but as we both know I'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to the College picks it just seems I'm always hearing how these kids opt out of there draft team and go else were . My little mind fixates on the bad I guess I'm a class 1/2 empty kinda guy.

So we have lost a pick that's why I hate picking NCAA and I believe we will lose our first from this yr I know you hate my attitude about NCAA but it happens more than not it seems not just with us but with the NHL in a whole with NCAA. I wish the teams would refuse picking these kids and just let them decide what they want to do when there done.

It seems to me 99 % of time when we had a shutout that same goalie would lose the next game so in my little mind good decision.

If I remember correctly Rittich did that a few times in his time as a backup I will never forget his excitement when he did that jumping up and down with all that equipment .

Every yr I have watch every team in the NHL have a long game losing streak so the Flames have it now maybe even another a few months down the road every team goes through it.I am sad to see Mony slid so far down the line up hopefully they are just protecting him and his old injury?

I have a question why the hell didn't we resign Ryan we have picked up lesser players for more money ? Also why is BT still here ? How many bad moves well he be allowed to get away with Ryan always played a good game call me confused I know nothing unusual.

I'm just so sad right now lost the face of this team and our best D man saved 6 mill and now we are in the twilight zone.

So I watch the link on Zary the coach gave him a raving review saying he is probably one of the best players in that league so he was picked pretty high in the Draft why is that are they saying the WHL is not comparable to the OHL or the Q ?

I hope this is not what we have to look forward to this season. I know it is only the start of the yr and we always seem to have bad starts but the fact we lost some good players and did nothing to fill those holes including Gio, I still don't understand why we gave up Gio and kept players like Kyl just to save a lousy 6 mill which we spent any way for lesser players. Could some one please explain the reasoning behind the Gio move and why most on this forum were so happy to see this play happen? I believe Gio still had a few good yrs in him so Im hoping the Gio give away was the plan to get him back next yr where he belongs. The worst thing is the fact we did very little to upgrade this team and what they did bring in is no better than the kids left standing in the wings. I am so very confused as usual 🤪
