RW is the first tie breaker. NAS has 35 to Dallas' 30.

Wasn't listed as an emergency recall, though it would be considered that regardless unless they don't classify it as that. Not a big difference. With goalies, you have 2 unless one is injured, then it's a minimum of an emergency recall.
travel_dude
As I said, I hope NAS clinches with Saros on the shelf. Though, I don't know if it really matters if we face DAL or NAS.

bosn111
So Edmonton gets LA. Will Edmonton hold off LA for Home ice? Minnesota and St.Louis, but who gets Home ice? Nashville and Dallas fighting for position so don’t know who we get yet. Can Flames retain home ice in later rounds by holding off St.Louis and Minnesota? Florida gets Pittsburg or Washington Carolina gets Boston or Tampa. Can Carolina hold off New York for Home ice in later rounds? Even Florida and Colorado fighting for Presidents trophy so no meaningless games for playoff bound teams yet.

LouCifer
Since this is a topic of conversation here - NAS or DAL? - here's TSN's take: https://www.tsn.ca/video/dallas-or-nashville-which-team-is-the-better-matchup-for-flames~2430466
travel_dude
Dallas and Nashville, neither wanting to take the WC1 spot. Dallas has the inside edge by the sake of 1 point lead. But they have just one game remaining. NAS needs one point and having DAL lose to get WC1. A NAS win in either game (in any fashion) and DAL getting a single point or less gives the WC1 to NAS. At this point, I don't even know which is a better match. NAS is physical and has a slight edge in PP scoring, assuming any are called. NAS has a solid goalie who may be 100%, or may be less, or maybe unable to start. With Rittich in, it's either a BSD return or what he's been like this season. He has so few starts that his edge is gone. DAL is struggling to hold and win in regulation. The physical edge only existed in years passed. Otter is up and down, meaning he looks unbeatable in some, average in others. Benn and Seguin would be better in playoffs than regular season due to greasy goals. Robertson is a factor. Heiskanen is good, but hasn't been the same impact playing us.

I mean, obviously NAS without Saros or even a banged up Saros is much more favorable than the Stars. But still, Flames look good against both of them. Heiskanen has been hurt this season and hasn't really looked as good as he has in the past.

But Little Joe wasn't a Flames killer this year. Him and Roopie both kept off the board (goals at least). Joe P had a single assist. Robertson had 2 goals against us this year. The teams were a lot closer 2 years ago, but we have a better goalie and they have a slightly worse one. Anyway, we shall see. I would rather have a Rittich NAS and let Dallas grind down COL. If Saros is 100%, I would rather have them beat the piss out of COL.

No doubt NAS would provoke MacKinnon to get physical. MacK's been crossing that line with more frequency this season, and that could be a way to get him off of his game / out of the game. travel_dude
Sounds like Saros has a high-ankle strain. That's not a one week thing. Come on NAS, put the boots to COL. Or at least tie them. One point minimum tonight and possibly 2 tomorrow night. Can't let them Stars ahead of you to finish.
