  1. Stupid, we aren't even guaranteed to have their pick next year if they trade it. No wonder it took so long, the NHL was laughing too hard.
  2. 2025 1st if it's not top 10 otherwise 2026 2025 3rd becomes a 2nd if they win a round Underhwhelming to say the least.
  3. Some of the holdup is around conditional picks. God, I hope all of our picks aren't centered around Team X in the finals or winning the cup. 1st has to have zero conditions. I don't mind a condition on a 4th or 3rd around making the conference finals, but not a main piece of the trade. But those should be the throw in picks like retaining salary and trading in division.
  4. Seeing as Friedman had more info that Dreger, at least he isn't using Dreger as the source. I've only seen Dreger quoted when they even talked about the D. But this sets my mind at ease, a bit. It it's only 1st and the D, then I don't like the deal, not with retention on our part. I know some have posted a prospect and couple of picks, but none of them mentioned again.
  5. Has there been any coroboration that the big Russian D is actually part of the deal? Dreger says it, but only people re-tweeting him or saying they heard.
  6. Zary will be back from IR and Pospisil will return from suspension before they finish the deal.
  7. He kind of modeled him game a bit after Kadri. Pest, throw some big hits, close to the edge some nights. I think he should at least play some games without being dirty and see if he has the scoring to match his edge. Like the first goal he scored was all about speed and skill. The other thing for me is he needs to stay away from fights, so cage it a bit. Don't always be the first guy in a scrum or throw punches in one.
  8. He was put in the 4th pairing with Oesterle in practice, so they "knew" a deal was coming before the game Thursday.
  9. Pretty bad that we have people still posting the trade with players but not even mentioning the one player that is suppsosedly in the deal. I doubt that the Russian D is the piece that gets them enough cap space or contract numbers to finalize it. Would need someone like Hague to make the cap better for them, if they want to make more deals. That player alone shouldn't be the main piece either.
  10. Unrelated, but LA extends Moveare after putting him on the waiver wire. How does that work?
  11. Maybe they read Friedman. I just find some people (like me) just recycle news
  12. I don't care as much about the D return as the prospects and picks. Hague would be good, so would Korczak, but I think Vegas is picky.
  13. More peanut gallery in on it (not you, just the fan guys). Why would they even mention it if it required a 3rd team? I don't think we need to ask a 3rd team to do something we can do ourselves. It's not a ton of cash, with less than a third of the season remaining.
  14. Friedman just said it was in play. Dreger is the worth for wanting to be the first. Vhris Johnson seems to be the same. TSN = Try to Scoop NHL
  15. Hague makes sense because with 50% retained on Hanifin, it would be cost neutral. 1st - hopeful Edstrom - again hopeful Additional picks - cost for in division trades and salary retention
  16. They need to do the leg work on the trade, like salary retention. For some reason it gets reported before the agreed return is finalized.
  17. Differing reports coming out, so I will shut up until I see real people that break trades reporting. Sorry if I got hopes up.
  18. This guy first reported a 1st included. This sounds like something that makes sense, and includes the cost of in division trades.
  19. Like this one (if true): Noah Hanifin trade details: #VegasBorn receive: Noah Hanifin (50% retained) #Flames receive: Nicolas Hague, David Edstrom, 2024 1st, 2025 conditional pick (either 3rd or 4th)
  20. Funny, but Vegas plays VAN tomorrow in Vegas. Play 2 home games.\Then away to Seattle and Calgary.
  21. Hope Hanifin packed a sweatshirt as his heaviest outerwear. Might be a little ticked he doesn't get to spend the weekend in Florida. Awww.
  22. Dreger says deal not worked out completely. Which is odd that it's reported as done. The M-NTC does play a part in filing, but unless he blocked Vegas, should be a non-issue.
  23. Funny how we have no details yet, but others are posted with the complete trade picture. Shows how bad the insiders can be. Friedman literally first mentioned Vegas at 4:30-ish.
  24. I interpreted the "extension in place" meant sign and trade. It didn't have to mean that. No deets yet.
  25. Nothing real posted yet, sorry. It sounds like a sign and trade.
