looking for the next Kipper is absolute insanity.. Kipper bacame special not because of development or anything except he was an exceptional person.. He did however.. constantly scream at the d men and yell at them not to clog the front of the net thus preventing him from seeing and stopping the puck.. Sooooooo.. they in turn moved the opposition to the side boards and it has taken years for the Flames not to play in front of the net.. While we're on it.. What is sigalets claim to fame as a goalie coach anyhow???

on your team maybe.. I posted what I would do with them.. In fact .. I wouldn't have wasted a wooden nickle on Gud or welenski.. Stone would be my 5th d man and valamaki and mackey would split time playing with him and Kylington would be trade bait

if hanafin/tanev... zadorov/anderson are our top 2 lines.. and valamaki/stone are our next best.. and mackay is the seventh that leaves kylington/welenski/Gudbrunsen/as spares..or insurance playing for one way contracts on the farm

I really don't like the Gud signing at all.. Harvey the hound is already on the payroll and brings levity to the team. The Only roll Gud may be around to perform

yes I listed lindholm as a new core addition.. I dont consider him as part of our old core everyone is clamoring as soft and must get rid of to move forward..

So our core forwards have dwindled down to Monahan/Gaudreau./Backlund and Tkachuk.. Our new core Additions being Lindholm and Coleman and our up and comers.. Mangiapane and Dube.. Our ever rotating fourth liners currently being..Lucic/ Pitlick/rRtchie and Lewis and Richardson leaves us still one top nine player short.. The defence is completely rebuilt with no old core players left now consists of.. Hanafin/Tanev/Anderson./ Zadorov /Stone/Valamaki /Kylington ./Mackey andGudbranson.. with word on the net being Mekeyev of The Leafs wanting a trade to Calgary.. We have Markstrom and about 36 guys for back-up in net.. Still no number one center that Sutter says we are missing and in need of.. what are we missing and what would you give up for that number one center and who would he be???

okay.. name your 5 man current flame roster and the 45 players you would sign that are avaiable and make sure the team fits the current cap limit

we currently have 43 of the max 50 contracts on the book so there is room for a few pto's in camp

As I count.. ,we currently have. 8 top 9 forwards.. gaudreau/monahan/lindholm/tkachuk/coleman/ mangiapane/backlund and dube... as well we have Lucic/lewis/pitlick as our bottom 3 plus reserve depending on how many spare forwards we are carrying this year. This leaves a spot for a forward or 2 or 3 as well , we have hanafin/tanev/anderson /zidorov as our top 4 d men and kylington/valamaki taking up two of the bottom d spots although both shoot left so we could cartainly use a veteran r shot dman on the third pairing and split time between kylington and valamaki on the bottom pairing .. as far as goalies. well Markstrom is far and away our number one but the battle for backup should be interesting. I think the missing link on the Gaudreau/Monahan line is.. Dustin Brown.. who we might be able to get with Kylington

and most importantly.. why was Harvey the Hound ranked so low in team mascots andddddddd are we stuck again this year with george Canyon singing the national anthem??? why not have Jann Arden or other local talent be given a chance? a new local artist every game.. including bands and school bands showcased every game??

any other non roster players from other teams practicing in town hoping to catch an invite to camp??

2 weeks to go.. Getting anxious.. how many players are in town?? who's not here yet?? anyone injured?? are we done with plyaer movement?? where are they generally meeting to unofficially practice??.. since this is when players get to pick their line mates?? who's practicing together??

i'd move jonnie to right wing and leave tkachuk on left with monahan centering and use lindholm/Coleman and mangiapane on a line together..

i've always liked the idea of only three forward lines so the players keep in rhythm.. and using players 18/19 and 20 as special teams specialists depending on who we play

the slow starts are directly related to George Canyon lulling the Flames to sleep with his rotten singing.. Bring back Susan Smith.. Or Patti Smith or Iggy Pop and Jazz the place up!!! the entertainment factor at a Flames game is a non; factor

unfortunately.. we rarely have a roster spot open for a rookie unless through injury.. Too many 3/4line players signed to contracts..doesn't give much hope to give er hell during pre -season knowing that ultimately.. Yer goin down

yes.. all valid points.. but on MY team.. the third line center doesn;t get that kind of money.. I save it for the top two lines ans goalie and top d line

all I was really saying was that as a third line player.. regardless of team.. backlund makes too much in the current cap world. I like backlund.. in fact.. if he was a little more aggressive and outspoken ,he would be my choice for captain

hey now.. I never saidI didn\tlike Backlund.. in fact I do but.. he's never consistently been the number 2 center here like conroy or Gilmour.. he;s been the fall back defensive 3rd line center.. in fact.. the perfect third line center.. but in a cap world.. he'sgetting paid too much
