  1. Exactly. How many games does he want to leave an impression? Get going man, stop embarrassing yourself.lol
  2. Johnny Dangerously with the roughing penalty!! He just doesn't stop impressing with the 2 goals and sweet feed to Lindholm(for his 35th!). So the direct correlation of past frustrations with this team vs this team now is the expression on Johnny's face. The contagions frustration have been replaced by intensity through the lineup. He's putting the team on his back and I love that for him. He's a special player. I'm kind of okay with that for us too:) You can argue, of course, contract year. That is 2nd for me. My 1st argument is he's having his Sidney Crosby year. It's taken longer than Sid. But the gist is stop whining about everything and letting extraneous Satoshi Nakamoto get to you. Just play your game. Of course Sid had better vets around him, and Lemieux.
  3. Reffing is always like that for every team in every game. It's easier to just know it and move on. It's not gonna get better. Most games you have to win in spite of reffing. Ruzicka's back and needs to stay. We have a spot for a 6'3" Center that is really good on the boards and has good O instincts. I'm not sure how Sutter sees it, I get he wants him to be a 3 or even 2. But if it's 4th line for now just let it be. He's more help than hindrance.
  4. Because he is buckets full of incredible awesomeness:)
  5. It's not that at all. You get to rds 4-7 and it's a bit of a dogfight and arguing.lol
  6. I hope that you're right. There's a lot to like. Good skater, good size, good shot. Sutter can teach him how to think the game. I'm hopeful that he can help a lot. By rights, he should actually be better than Kyl, but the lost time etc...it's up to him or we wait another year. I never wanted him traded, put it that way. Swedish Mafia? Let's expand to Scandinavian Mafia.lol
  7. I wonder what Beck's size is now. I see both 151lbs and 161lbs. Guessing (19 in a week) he'll be back in the O next year. I've followed, but no live viewings. OHL is all inter-conference games this year. But by all accounts, kid's got a rifle of a shot. I believe our Ontario scouts had a very hard sell to the staff to take him. That's becoming a familiar story with our OHL scouting, it seems.
  8. Yup. Been waiting for that. Hopefully Valimaki can show better in practices now. Z has been amazing and suicidal at every 30 second interval lately. But pair Vali in Kylington's spot? Far too dangerous? Or is Tanev a demi-god?
  9. Thanks cross. I was wondering if it's just cap-related now, as it was. With Mony, it solves that. While I get the rationale, the lines and minutes seemed to balance out better with Ruzicka between Lewis and Lucic. If that's the spot for him that makes us better right now, I'd have to say why not? Even Mony there didn't look as effective as Ruzicka in that spot. To me at least. Rozie was what, .35ppg from there? Better than the nothing it's been imo.
  10. What do we need to call up Rozie? Guessing Kyl back, Mackey down, Ritchie to IR? I'm growing deeply annoyed at the Carpenter acquisition at the expense of Ruzicka.
  11. Hopefully getting out on the road lends some much needed focus. It's going to have to!!
  12. And Dallas loses to Seattle. Holy crap, neither Dallas or Winnipeg want playoffs. Even Nashville is feeling the nipping at the heels.
  13. We haven't had a better 4th line than Lucic-Rozie-Lewis this year by my accounting. Rozie's even potted a couple on line changes with Johnny and Tkachuk.
  14. It's time to put it all back together and carry on tonight!!!
  15. Dallas/Nashville/St. Loo seriously have to fall apart for Vegas to make it.
  16. They had me with their, "Oilers sign Jimmy Howard" April Fool's post. Amazingly, it wouldn't have surprised me...
  17. For Backlund, though, those muffins are to get an O-zone draw for the top line. It's never a bad plan and I'm sure that's why he does it. You have to do that even though it seems frustrating putting it on the goalie's crest, but it's one of those things that comes with a plan. Get the draw, send out your guns. With the D in the O, it's not how they get shots off, but rather the D coverage taking that away. The fwds ring it around to the point, but a few teams are reading it well and taking it away. That's the part that makes me a little leery, because that's a big part of our O game. One of those things where, if they're doing that, put pucks into the slot. We have to get better at seeing what they're doing and adjusting effectively.
  18. One thing worrying me this yr is teams covering our points in the O-zone. We cycle well and the Dmen are a big part of it. This is about the 4th time I've seen teams take away the point on us and it never goes well. We need another trick when that happens, but we are so accustomed to it that it's automatic and we lose the puck when it is defended. Something to keep an eye on. It's really my only worry. That, and Sutter really wants to get Backlund scoring and is giving him prime real estate to do so. It's not really working out.
  19. I believe he'll re-sign and we don't need Coronato next year regardless. Abbruzzese was Harvard's star this year and now Coronato can take the reigns next year.
  20. I agree with all of this. I enjoyed the last one regardless of how much criticism came out of it. Should it be driven by the IIHF, the NHL, or both? NHL or International rinks? Wasn't Team NA the young team?
