  1. It's going to make for an interesting preseason with Wolf vs Vladar. Wolf will be just 21yo so I reckon another year in the A for him? Give him a few callups to put some $$ in his pocket. It's pretty exciting at G for us now. We'll see how Sergeev fairs at UConn, He's just 19. Then there's Chechelev who's 21yo and we'll see what he is. Just last year I thought our G depth was a black hole. Now we have layers of goalie prospects. It's almost surreal how quickly it's gone from a D- to an A. Good work by BT with the signings and getting the Russians to NA.
  2. Gotta push this thread back up. Mackey looking like a solid candidate to take a spot next year. Hopefully Valimaki gets there too. Nice to look ahead and see that we have some really good, cheap options for next year from the farm. We're going to need that.
  3. First sweep of Cali ever! Good showing by Vladar and the macki's. Compounding positives is a beautiful thing.
  4. The last 2 games of closing out the wins have been sensational. Flooding the neutral zone and allowing nothing. The opponents were even struggling to pull the goalie. Very impressive.
  5. Sutter is epic. Who starts the backup and sits the 3rd D pairing? Too funny. Nice depth.
  6. Liking Valimaki getting a look. Ritchie...well...
  7. Dude, it's 10:20pm where I'm at. Still waiting...imagine rd, it's a 3:30am start. We shouldn't Blockchain around tonight, beat them early and often for the doctor.
  8. Awesome Michigan-Denver game right now, 1-1 halfway through. Great hockey.
  9. No flag ever. Lets the scourge know that you're a tourist. Easier to just tell people that you're Cdn. I totally got kidnapped in Amsterdam (in a good way) by telling a group of locals that I was the only Cdn in our group. The main thing they taught me was bars close for 1 hour to clean up, at like 5am. Didn't see my friends for a couple of days. Great experience. They love us in the Netherlands!!
  10. A 3:30am start for you? And here I am whining about 10:30pm.lol
  11. Same same. No reason to rush. Him and Kerins should be the Heat centers next year. No reason to have Gawdin around.
  12. That look, x 100 people. Good times.
  13. Frozen 4 semi's tonight. 5pm EST Michigan vs Denver 8:30 pm Minny State vs Minny. Great hockey. Final on Saturday. https://www.ncaa.com/news/icehockey-men/article/2022-04-07/2022-frozen-four-dates-schedule-mens-college-hockey-championship
  14. Unfortunately, I wish I'd only sharted.lol Something something Morocco, something something Paris something something not realizing that alley was the back exit of the Paris train station something something glad I didn't understand French.
  15. Never saw it, but probably worse...a few times.lol
  16. Patience is the best part of it all. I believe Sutter will stay beyond his contract if only in a consultant role. He alludes to things that needed fixing when he got here. Fitness levels, players that shouldn't be here etc. A lot has been fixed. The G depth for example was bordering horrendous. I'm thinking him and BT are a great combo to keep the whole org in pretty good shape. Just don't give Sutter a say at the draft.lol
  17. The italicized brings back some funny, yet horrendously embarrassing mems. Good times.
  18. Just fun to see that the pipeline seems to be in good hands. I know we've graduated Andersson, Bread, maybe Ruzicka well. But it's nice to know Zary, Pelts, Kerins, Coronato, Beck, Valimaki, Poirier, Kuznetsov, Wolf and all will be in the mix in a couple of years. That's a really good mix of prospects. We're short on picks this year, so that's a pretty good list to carry the prospect pool over. Really looking forward to Zary and Kerins having a healthy C battle next year. Kerins leads the OHL in draws taken this year and rocking a healthy 59% in the best jr league in the world. Haven't checked lately, but he's around 1,500 FOs taken, so it's a massive sample size. From my 2 live viewings, he's Getzlaf-level Hash Rate at the dot. He got tossed twice for waving his stick at the opponent before even getting set. Could have been what he said while doing that. Super-aggressive. I'd only seen Getzlaf with the Hitmen being that aggressive at the dot.
