It never went to the NHL. My guess is that Calgary and Vegas have agreed to a deal in principle. Vegas is now trying to get a 3rd party broker to take on cap, because Vegas still wants to add another winger and wants to make sure they have room to do it.

This is pretty normal this time of

    year.

Ya I'm not overly concerned ..retention deals are tricky..essentially 3 trades have to be made ..have to receive value to retain..  the main was leaked .. still working on th final.. just takes time

    But gotta love the optics..

Conny makes almost every WC contender better ..except Edmonton..

Pulls the rug from Tampa .. .Friedman said today tb did have the extension in the drawer so that mist have truth to it ..

Iggy and Conroy on their own little revenge tour here 😂😂

Dreger says deal not worked out completely.

Which is odd that it's reported as done.

The M-NTC does play a part in filing, but unless he blocked Vegas, should be a non-issue.

you got trade calls.. official sign off .. etc .. unless somebody leaks a detail , only source is NHL office

Another guys says they have an contract offer in their back pocket because they don't like the offers so far.  I don't see how that would benefit the Flames to leak it.  If he hasn't signed he ain't signing.

Just playing devils advocate for fun.. not saying this is the case..   but to leak what he left on the table makes the Flames look like the victim when he is ultimately traded for a lower than expected return.. much like everybody knew what Johnny left on the table.. that was no accident

I think the chances of Coleman being moved are extremely slim. I can't say that definitively of course but I don't expect him to be moved.

I think the team loves him, sees him as a key part of what they are doing, and by all accounts he loves it here.

I don't think Mang is in the same boat.

Hes the one under the radar player I can see moving.. I'd bet money either way he doesnt start next season

Newest rumour (from a guy with 3500 followers) is that the Flames have a contract offer to Hanifin in the upper $8M range in case they don't like the offers for him.  Like What the AF?  Won't sign long term at mid 7's.  Messes with trades to teams not on his 8 team list.  Craters his own trade value and we are wanting to pay him more?

Get creative before you even think about signing him at almost Nurse money.

Not gonna lie.. I want to see this happen .. JUST to see social media and everywhere else lose their ever loving freaking minds ..LOL

If Lindholm is traded, what happens to the conditional 3rd?

Those conditions exist only while playing in VAN.

    VAN makes the 3rd round.

Lindholm plays 50% of the games in the playoffs.

I don't think they could substitute them on a new team if he is traded.

i didnt see the games played condition , just the wcf condition .. that would be the kicker.. if its games played It wont transfer

No I think that's overrating Hanifin.  Yes he is having a career year but is not a stud #1 D.  He's shown he's a 2/3 on a good team.

Lindholm has shown to be Selke material.  RHS C, etc.  There was more value Lindholm than Hanifin.

again we all have our local biases Good or bad .. Outside of Calgary , the opinion of him quite high.. Most common description has been "star/ elite Top 4 Dman".....  may not be everybody's opinion but that's the common I've seen and heard

Wow Hanifin should get better than Lindholm?  I was expecting a 1st + mid-prospect + fringe NHLer.  What were you expecting for Hanifin?

I know every fanbase over and undervalues their own players , but the unbias view of it is hes still a relatively young , in his prime Dman.. 1st/ 2nd pair at worst .. can play all situations ... Really his only knock for value is hes a LS..  if he were RS it would thru the roof

compared to Lindy, Id expect a higher prospect .. a 1st and 2nd or 3rd ( no conditions) and a roster player with less question marks ( maybe younger , more known ) ..

    Yes solid, not great, solid.

Not sure why but there is a lot of word twisting going on in this thread.

Too much social media .. people can't separate the hack rumors from logic ..

One that has some believability and would be funny is Canucks are already shopping Lindholm lol.. Connie for the win if that happens ..

Funniest part if they do?  They make the WCF they still lose the 3rd rounder 😂😂
