  1. I use archive.md just paste the link and get past any paywall... Exceptional story
  2. This just adds to the senselessness County Route 551, close to the fog line of the roadway. Sean M. Higgins, a 43-year-old male from Woodstown, N.J., was traveling north on CR 551 in a Jeep Grand Cherokee behind a sedan and SUV. Higgins attempted to pass the slower-moving sedan and SUV, entered the southbound lanes of travel, passed the slower moving sedan, and attempted to re-enter the northbound lanes of travel when the SUV in front of Higgins moved the middle of the roadway, splitting the north and south lanes to safely pass the two pedalcyclist traveling north on the right side of the roadway. Higgins then attempted pass the SUV on the right and struck the two pedalcyclists in the rear. As a result of the collision, the two pedalcyclists sustained fatal injuries. Through further investigation, Higgins was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, charged with two counts of death auto, and lodged in tha Salem County Correctional Facility. This cras remains an active investigation and no
  3. Went to be last night and this was just a ridiculous twitter rumor with no basis ..woke up this morning to learn it was confirmed .. so sad . We forget many times these people are people .. we talk about them like possessions and commodities .. I cannot imagine what the family must be going thru. 2 brothers gone , the day before the sisters wedding .. this puts a capital T on tragedy .. Well always have his final goal here that electrified a city ..and all the memories . But can only send prayers to those who he Shoujd never be just a memory to. ..his children who are so young they may not ever truly have memories of him.. this family does not deserve this .
  4. They actually had this discussion on the FAN.. Jason Bukkula (sp?). Said our comparable was Etienne Morin
  5. The big irony in all of this is, according to reports , when the Oilers were trying to get Tanev ..they wanted to give us the first and Ceci's contract.. .. Connie wanted Broberg and the Oilers refused . Now they may be forced to trade Ceci and the first just to get rid of him..
  6. I'm not sure it is.. Broberg has had limited usage to shine ..but when he was pressed into extended duty in the playoffs he showed why he was so highly rated .. I think within 2 years he'll be a top 3 on that team and they'll gladly give him his raise .. I actually wonder if we tried ..but the option of Edmonton matching and having to go back to the Oilers dressing room having agreed to play for Calgary was a deterrent
  7. I may be wrong .I have been before ..but I think the contract limit is like the cap..you have until season to be compliant
  8. And got reminded this morning that Peter Chiarelli is now the VP of hockey ops in st Louis now .. I doubt thats a coincidence lol
  9. Damn..someone did it .. really wanted that Broberg offer to be us..
  10. Id love to hear another take on it ..it was well documented and I was semi close to some working the process
  11. The original deal was a go. Then the new mayor came in, stated the "climate emergency". And altered the qualifications to approve the building permit requiring solar panels and green space..adding a handful of millions to the cost of the building permit due to the added design costs. She tried to bluff Edwards into the added costs ..who called her bluff and walked away from the deal on principle. .. That in a nutshell is how the first deal died ..
  12. I'll be the first to say I have no issues with Bowman getting work again.. he paid the price for his error.. which I believe his crime was not being hands on and looking into what the issue was and just assuming whatever it was was being handled . It was his job . . But if Beach himself and Sheldon Kennedy are ok with him moving on.. I'll defer to their judgement. What boggles my mind is the Oilers willingness to open what they knew was gonna be a PR nightmare ..for a guy that truthfully doesn't have a great gm record .. he gets too much credit for those championship teams.. the core was built for him by Tallon.. his own moves were highly questionable .. The jones contract.. Panarin .. I'd argue they should have had an even longer window ..he slammed it shut .. Peter Chiarelli 2.0
  13. It better..it would be such a typical Calgary City Council blunder to ruin a good thing by being handcuffed by a bylaw thst keeps them from having the concerts and events in the new building Pretty sure I read they'll vote next week to push it thru.. if not there is your first cost oversight on having to pay more for extra sound proofing
  14. This gives a nice overview of how the Inside should be laid out ...
  15. Not gonna lie... I like it .. Not an eyesore .. lots of potential with live boards and displays .outside . Gathering spots ... good use of space Indoors I'm.pretty sure they said the largest electronic signage /display place of any sports venue in the world
