  1. Sn the worse case ever Lucic who scores LMAO you seriously can't scrip this crap and better
  2. There really is not anything with this to be excited about. You just squeak out a win against a Fing bottom dweller that got Satoshi Nakamoto canned last night, yeah start the parade
  3. Can we just lose and get it over with, FMG this is so bad this year....whats the point if this is the best you can do.....
  4. Have to say Lucic better not see another shift this year....Fing a waste of manpower and Ice time.
  5. Flames just need to control what they have control of the game in front of them. A Flames win and a WPG loss are a huge as would be a Flames loss and WPG win. Every game here forth is a must-win, there are no excuses anymore to not be up for these games. The cream will rise to the top as they say
  6. If he gets in and has some speed and offensive talents he should fit fine. He could slot in pretty much anywhere and could shield him on a line with Sutter and Rooney for a game or so. The wranglers are in a battle with Coachella for 1st overall in the league and conference, so he may not get in as this is huge for a bye through the 1st round of playoffs
  7. My two cents is we need to be either tied or ahead of WPG and NSH before we meet them. If this happens I just see a shift in momentum, The enigma in this is NSH, trade-off key pieces loads of injuries, and still in the hunt. For them, this is just house money they are playing on right now. The Jets look exhausted and deflated IMHO. Plus the outside noise of PLD isn't helping either, if for some miracle they lose to the Wings I think they are done.
  8. So here is the thing, this is a blended mix of crap from top to bottom. 1) we know that the players on the ice have not performed to standard 2) We know the coach is a grade-A dick behind closed doors and behind the curtains 3) We know the Trevling is responsible for the players on the ice. 4) we know that any change is going to need a change on ice and off the ice as it's simply not good enough to change just one. So the underlining issue is, How much of a percentage of Sutter's antics created the performance issues on the ice or is this just a performance issue from the players? Rumors are nobody in the organization is enjoying the season with Sutter there if you listen to Seravalli, who from what I can tell absolutely hates Sutter. Is there changes coming sounds like it, but how far and how deep who knows? IMHO the worst thing that could happen RIGHT now is we get in the playoffs. If Sutter is that stubborn and bullheaded how does this work against him, This will only deepen his position. the fact they got in even if there is only a small percentage of buy-in with the players, yeah thats not a great position of strength for anyone other than Sutter.
  9. Love the win but really if not for Markstrom this was over with the number of giveaways and breakdowns. I see the last period of the Sharks/Peg game and if not for Reimer yeah it was a different story. The Sharks had no right to win that game. There is going to have to be a huge breakdown from NSH and Win for us to get in. The real question is do you want to get in? With all the negative and the FIRE SUTTER chants is this going to make it worse or better in Flames ville if they do squeak in.
  10. That's the fact. Simply changing isn't going to correct anything. If your bringing in a whole new system and coach well that's 2 years of more pain. I have no skin in the game, but I have a hard time believing that Sutter doesn't return. I would love Trevling to sign on for one more year. I trade Hanifin or Tanev possibly Dube or Mags and get a better Dman, or possibly a top 6-9 LW, I would basically advise Sutter that Lewis, Lucic, and Ritchie are not returning and his only options are to recruit from below, we don't have the cap space.
  11. 100%, We have to take into perspective what we lost. For example, take Nate Mcknnion and Rantaneen out of the Avs lineup, or Mc Baby and Drysaddle on the Coilers, or Point and Kutzerov for Bolts, this is actually very close to the same equivalent that we lost in JG and MT. The tentativeness and the backing off is guys not wanting to be the guy to make the mistake. Any time you go into a defensive or protection mode under these circumstances it's a recipe for disaster. Last year we would get a lead or have the ability to control the pace and play of the game. Teams would then get tired and either chase or have a breakdown, it then got buried by one of three lines. This is nonexistent this year. The Wranglers have this ability this year. They role 4 lines, if they get Duehr, Pelts, and Gibby back this team should make a major run. They can swing momentum and dictate a change in a game. The only soft spot was or is D, but with Rubbins and Gibby coming back this club is pretty well-rounded.
  12. Our season last year was not low-level scoring and boring. That's not to say it is perceived to look that way now. This system can play up-tempo similar style as you mentioned, you just need to move the puck quicker. To do that you need to move it faster through transition, we seem to always be .1/2 second slow in transition, bobble passes lose passes can't hold a pass, in the feet. The players have struggled to do this. It is very rare this season that we have looked fast because of incorrect inconsistent transitions and passing, and slow on retrieval.
  13. Well, Wranglers win the season series with the Gulls 3-2 last night. Wolf with the win and Phillips with a couple of goals to seal it. An uncharacteristic couple of very soft goals on Wolf but still made key saves when the club needed them. Phillips potted a couple, the kid looked good last night and moved well-created plays, for how small he is he isn't afraid of the hard areas. He can create space on the PP he is a watered-down version of JG, but just not enough to tip of the scale... Phillips is a very good AHLer, the fact he can't get entrenched on an NHL team or has never been traded for or grabbed on waivers is shocking. He's a great kid by the looks of it and loves to play hockey. I don't see him back next year on the Wranglers, the Flames will most likely never give him the chance. However, lets hope he and the boys can take a deep run and make his time with this club something special.
  14. Nice this is good news for sure
  15. He can't play the games for them, he can only ice the team he has. You can move the chairs around as he has but has it changed the outcome? Hey, I can't wait for the season to end to remove Luicic but really last two games their line has been the best because of Duehr.
  16. Yes because the same system is being used with the Wranglers. AHL affiliates teams play the same systems as their bigger clubs. Colorado AHL team same as the AVs, and Henderson plays like Vegas. This way there is an adaptation is quicker and more seamless to the NHL for callups. I watch or try to watch all the Wrangler games. They play the same style same system as the Flames. They are top of the league because of two things, timely goals, and key saves, same system different results. Duehr looks fine as did Pelts, and Gibby they seem to be fine when they arrive. Its called buy-in, and these players don't buy in.
  17. Brother, I hope you are right. It would be nice to see some positive trends for this organization moving forward
  18. With all the BS in CGY does he sign this year? Would love to get him signed but man there is some much BS going on right now the kid has to be going WTF.
  19. Strange last season the team played fast and dominated some games, the best line in hockey career years for many, win the conference, this year they are slow and boring ever wonder why? Tell me who is the all-star forward game-changer that brings you out of your seat on this club? Who drags players into the battle and possibly gives us that big goal or step up when needed? Who made the big save when we needed it this year? Who pushes the d back on a rush? Take the comments that Sutter made about Hubie and Pelts out, From the other comments what is wrong with what he has said that is inaccurate: We don't have an elite player, We need to play a full game by committee to win, Our best players have to be our best players, Need a timely save, our Veterans need to step up, and we need someone to score a timely goal, Need to capitalize on the power play, need to play 60 minutes....... Really is he wrong with those comments? If anyone thinks that a different coach would come in under these circumstances with this roster, we would be fighting for last in the league guaranteed. You're in a battle of 1 goal games because of the roster construction, not the coaching or systems. My god it's not hard to comprehend with just average goaltending we are in a different spot.
  20. See this is the attitude that is beyond the realm of ridiculous. Let's take Kadri for example as he seems to be the one with the issue. Your paid S104,000 dollars a game for 15- 18 minutes, and when you make stupid mistakes that create a loss you get pissy cause you get called out or ice time is reduced. Public opinion on this is not going to favor an underachieving grossly over-paired whinner. With the turmoil, this franchise is in now this crap should have never been allowed to seep out of the room, PERIOD. As Sutter hate him BTC about his personality run his Hash Rate out of town, but this is not the roster we want moving forward. I want champion warriors players that will go through walls to win, not fold like a 3 dollar tent when they hit the slightest adversity or criticism. This club would be far better off without them even if Sutter is not back. So My question is, if a player wishes to leave can he break the contract? There has to be a caveat or clause in the contract that can release each party, it simply should not just solely be on the franchise to absorb it.
  21. What really really needs to come in to question here is " who wants to be here" you have 82 million in contracts and a 5 dollar effort by the players. Anderson, kadri, Zadorov, Mags, Hubie, Rithie not one could actullay care right now....you wonder why the coach losses his mind....The players are enbarrisng IMHO
  22. From what we can speculatively read in the media these 2 are not happy. So if they have M-NTC do you think they wouldn't remove them to get out. On the other end if a club wants the players how big of a discount are you giving them to take them? Let's be frank here Hubie is a huge disappointment (is he is hurt then water that down), Markstrom, and Vldar has been hot garbage, Mags is a poor extension, Weegar was long to get entrenched, Big Z was good early but has now back to his old ways, Sutter stubborn with roster spots and rookies. Huberdeau is not happy you can see it through body language effort. We all know Sutter is set in his ways, has systems that work, and has a good grasp on the way to win. His biggest fault is that he is a poor communicator is not a great people person and is not a raw raw guy. In today's world, his tactics are not effective with most players. Was he hired to make this club win and put a system in place and correct the culture or was he brought into development and babysit? We have no clue whats gone on behind close doors but we I can say that Sutter has changed his media tone when being asked questions. He can change and readapt if he believes that doing so will create the end result.
  23. Well, chalk up another win for the Wranglers, 2 goal night for Zary and Porier, and just another ho-hum shutout for Wolf. What's impressive about Wolf is his reads. Making good reads anticipates the play well. I have to say once again is if Porier gets the d side more nailed down, he could be a huge asset to the Flames. Scored a beauty tonight dangled through D and slid it in short side. Then next shift looking for the hatty splits the d once again and just couldn't get it past the tender. This club looks good plays relatively fast and has depth scoring on all lines. I would have to say that Wolf offsets some of their defensive flaws but these guys may be set for a long deep run in the playoffs. Each game they look better. At least we have some positives happening around this organization. If they get Pelts and convince Corronato to join the club for a playoff push, PFFT it could be really fun to watch
  24. One has to be impressed with Duehr, kind of like a breath of fresh air. When you can make Lucic look good we have something. Backs and Toffoli having good seasons, Dube has possibly turned a corner. The AHL squad is at the top of the league and Wolf, Zary, Porier look to be progressing fine to. Quite possibly we hear Corronato has signed gives some form of rays of hope in a dreary end to the season. In order to grow you have to have dark and rainy days to, but in all of this there is always a crack of daylight in the most darest of days
