  1. For sure, but it comes down to what is the goal. The league has changed I am with the ones that are on the side of youth and energy. A line that I suggested could swing momentum faster than the current line of Lewis Lucic and Ritchie. What we saw was a HUGE upward trend with Duher. Pelts Ruzicka and Duehr as a 4th line is really a sheltered 3b line. Insert Coleman as a veteran to assist with guidance too. Hey the early review I saw with Bell ( its early) Bell Ruzika Duehr that's 3 skilled big boys with offensive talent and speed, on the surface its a huge check mark with Sutter. Next season, not IF guys play its a must or you lose them. I get the over-ripen thing but if you allow it to stay on the branch to long it will rot and fall off. The old dogs are great but can also not provide any energy when that was what we seen lacked the most at times a SPARK
  2. So I watched the past 3 games with the Wranglers. They were terrible the first games. Wolf was below average but the team in front of him was no screaming hell either. Great fight with Gallant and some kid from VAN, poor bastard took a beating lol. Last night the Wranglers were on their heels, VAN played a high-pressure swarm attack as they have the past 2 games, really limiting time and space. Wranglers got a spark after the 1st goal by Desiome. They never really gained any momentum till the tying goal by Hunt, a great setup by Pelts. It gave them a spark and than Klapka had a deflection to give them the lead and they closed it out. Have not seen Duehr on the roster assumption is he is banged up still from the open gate incident in CGY. Players of interest. Bell was invisible in the 1st game but REALLY noticeable in the 2nd game. The kid is big holds the puck well very smart and conformed with possession and distribution, wins puck battles, and is hard to move off the puck. Early review I LIKE THIS KID. Porier I still think this kid could be fine, just love his skating and offensive abilities, but he is very raw offensively. Phillips love the little man but since things have tightened up he is invisible. Pelts has been not really noticeable actually, he isn't driving the play as before. Emilio Petterson I Like this kid too, similar to Parker Bell very good with distribution and stick-handling skills. Klappka is not hard to notice this boy is big lol. Need to work on edge work and core strength but he has been a good addition. Hunt appears to be a good add. The dman that stands out for me outside of Porier is Solo, poised good reads good first pass. The deserve the bye these boys what the coaches and team have done is impressive. Would have been great to see Coronato on this team, a lethal sniper would just add to their offense. At least there should be some great playoff hockey in CGY. Best of luck boys!!!
  3. Agree with all of it but the Lucic and Lewis signing. I love Lucic I do, and I think it is an element that is going to need to be addressed with the intimidation factor ( some may disagree but it's a benefit). Lewis great foot soldier but we need to promote from the AHL. Guys like Bishop, Rooney, Schwindt, Ruzicka Hell even Zary, if he bulks up, are capable 4th line centers for now. Limited minutes sheltered. Rooney In AHL is a very good PK like very good. IMHO a 4th line of Pelts Ruzicka Dueher would be very successful or Schwindt, I have been impressed with Clark Bishop on the Wranglers as well. With the limited cap space, the GM needs to just tell Sutter we are not bringing guys in figure it out with players from the farm club.
  4. Ruzicka is in a bad spot as he is a center so who does he replace in the top 9 Lindholm Baxks or Kadri? He isnt a 4th line guy unless you redesign the line and role. I for one would be fine with a Coleman Ruzica Duehr 4th line. Out side of that I don;t think he replaces any one above him

    Goaltending

I will agree that Vldar is movable, however, so is Markstrom. I would disagree that 10% of the issue this year was only goaltending, more like 60% of our issues this year were poor goaltending. Can things change and people change for sure. Markstrom and Vldar both had crap seasons. They could have a great bounce-back year. I do think your trading Vldar and moving Wolf to back up next season, IMH0 means Vldar is the one who is out
  6. GM- Removed can't see a season next year with Trevling. Really where has he been? He is just going through the motions right now of coasting to the finish line. He hasn't been present in the media to water things down, his actions speak volumes, and he isn't coming back either by design or choice. Personally, I am fine with it, we need a change and different vision and eyes at the top. There have been far too many poor decisions with draft choices for duds with him, time to move on. Coach- TBD This is tough when you look at the season or fancy stats leagues worst goaltending, under-achieving players, 1-goal games, inability to get a big goal, posts hit, is that on the coach or players, I lean towards the players. What Sutter is horrific with is interaction with people, stubbornness with prospects, and inability to adapt to change. So off-ice, he is a grade-A dick from all accounts. Can anyone provide data or proof that the insertion of the younger players was GUARANTEE you a different result, you can't, that's the issue. Outside of he has a Satoshi Nakamototy personality change some of the aforementioned data and poof you in a playoff spot. For me, his attitude is more in question than his ability to coach and his personality is more in question than his ability and knowledge to coach, People can change, and that's a conversation that needs to be had with him, if he is not willing or this is who I take it or leave it than you change the coach no questions asked. **** My only reservation with Sutter being allowed to stay is you need a GM that has the balls to stand up to him, or the power to. If he stays and can have his hands in the cookie jar, that's an instant red flag for this organization. If that happens then the owners are complete idiots. Moving forward once we know who or what direction your going, than we look at the roster, IMHO nobody on this current roster is safe, NO ONE.
  7. Thank god it's over, there is only so much ineptness that one can watch with this club. Leagues' poorest goaltending was the 1st factor than the inability of players to rise to the occasion and a stubborn coach. Sutter with some head-scratching events but he lived by the sword and died by the sword. All this did was now put us in a situation where there is just going to be more speculation, negativity, and drama. So now let the rumors run ramped and let the BS flow cause this seasons soap opera season is not over yet, it's only just begun
  8. 100% disagree Kadri's lack of disrespect for the team, organization, and fans was disgracefully displayed in the last game. Frankly, I am not the only one questioning this:
  9. When we got Hubie, Weegar and Kadri I placed my arse firmly on the wagon, they have depth and all that was required was AVERAGE. I think none of us expected below NHL goaltending and D breakdowns, to this level. Then we have the major adjustment of Hubie, and Weegar to the systems. The media crap with Kadri, Pelts, and Sutter. This club seemed to start down a dark hole and continued to dig in the wrong direction till it imploded. We have very very good complimentary players, we lack that star offensive guy. Kadri's actions in the CHI game IMHO were inexcusable. They were an absolute embarrassment to the organization, players, and fans. Trevling spent way too much for him. Both he and Sutter praise the man about he brings it every night, never in question, classless. If Kadri wanted to make a statement about how bad it is on the ice was not the way to do it. Kadri did more damage to himself now than Sutter ever could have. Kadri is a very good hockey player I must add but his character now comes into question. This off season is going to be a hot mess, how deep they dig into the trash bag is yet to be determined.
  10. Well, Wranglers win in Regulation against Coachella, it was a chipping game with some good hits. Wranglers held them off for 20 minutes and killed a huge 5-3. Phillips set up a couple of good goals, they scored late to take a 2-1 lead. Much like the Flames however, the drama got tense as Desimone with all day and on the opposite of the rink flips the puck out of play with 2:41 left in the 3rd. Wolf held the fort and they killed the penalty thankfully. They scored an empty netter to win 3-1. Hunt with the game-winner set by Philips. Wranglers are now top of the league. Have to give a big shout-out to Mitch Love and the coaches, These guys bend but they never seem to break. Outside of the odd breakdown the are very positionally sound and capitalize when the can
  11. Well, that was a pleasant surprise. Satoshi Nakamototy coaching tossing out the 4th line to get the game-winner LMAO. This is a season of too many ups and downs....This was a good well deserved team win. Let the drama continue
  12. The mistakes and miscues I can get on board with, That second and third goals were 100% premediated by Kadri, a Satoshi Nakamototy drop pass at the blue line than a 5 year could have made a better play than he did. The third goal was purposely skated into our zone and passed the coverage to allow the opposition a clear 2-1 for the winner. It is hard to believe that these were just careless mistakes, especially at this level. Hey, the rest of the team doesn't get a pass but outside of that little POS putting the pucks in his own net, he provideed the Hawks this game and screwed his mates. classless and shows his true pathetic nature.
  13. The players we have are embarrassing at best. What really has me gagging is my multiple decades of watching hockey I have never seen the piss-poor attitude of a player like Kadri at any level. Trevling fought like hell to bring him in and this is the effort you put forth, plus he is signed with an NTC, so I am surprised he made it out of the locker room. Then the best part was not taking responsibility and owning it, blaming it on bad ice and sloppy turnovers by the team. UTTER COWARD. Sad thing is now they will fall flat clean house and have to rebuild it anyway, after giving contracts to guys long term with the promise of trying to win. I still believe Huberdeau is hurt bad wrist or arm, Weegar I can live with his contract, Kadri IMHO is the biggest POS this club has right now and it shows with his attitude and work ethic. He needs to go some how some way but the last move Trevling needs to do is get that POS out of CGY.
  14. I keep the Backs coleman Mags line but if we could move him I would. Hanifin and Kadri would have played their last games for me tonight, especially Kadri guy is the biggest POS on this roster right absolute cancer, reminds me of E Kane
  15. Awesome. I am in another province so it makes no sense. Corporate will only take you so far, and with Oil being killed there hurts. People like winners and will support them. This team is hard to get behind right now, there is nothing to face the franchise with or be extremely excited about for people in the near future. This past summer put this club back 4-5 years and this season has only validated the poor choices and direction from above.
  16. As much as it may appear I am always on the side of Sutter I am not. However, If you're subjectively basing the lack of failure on the system and coaches this year then it should be granted the same weight of measure as the year previous. The only part that is accurate IMHO is the bolded, we literally don't have any skill in this club. Name a player on this roster that gets the puck on his stick and it brings you to the edge of your seat and makes you sit up taller in anticipation. You can't we don't have any.
  17. Stands up for the players he is a dick, and speaks the truth he's a ruthless heartless dick, much like this club, he can't win. If Sutter doesn't come back next I don't blame him you can't win with this poorly constructed team Trevling has placed in front of him. Team sport or not if I was in that room Kadri be having some explaining to do, his inexcusable effort was, an ABSOLUTE EMBARRASSMENT to players like Tanev, and those who sacrificed. I can deal with mistakes but that much lack of effort and care needs an explanation.
  18. If Kadri gets out of that room alive is going to be a miracle. He is an embarrassment to any NHL player with that effort. A typical Trevling signing just adds more cancer to the locker room with that POS So glad this Satoshi Nakamoto season is done, the whole season was childish BS since the start
  19. Well, Kadri with great effort again....its like death by a thousand paper cuts,
  20. That play by Kadri Is 100% not an acceptable effort at this time of the year. If you want any indicator there is cancer in the room, he is it. He shouldn't see the ice for the rest of the game IMHO
  21. 1) So then last year systems and coaching were the keys to success versus this year, not the players. 2) Correct because you don't have the cast members, boring is all we have as we have no stars to ignite the crowd 3) What is the leading fact of why we are where we are in the standings 4) I can agree with this but have to direct attention to one thing of human nature that has been apparent in all of this. How excited were Lucic's teammates for him when he scored last night or Stone or Weegar's block? How many hugs did Weegar get for the blocked shots by teammates? It's those moments that one can see how your peers view you. I agree Lucic's time is done but his connection to the players seems pretty valuable which is what we don't see behind closed doors, this could be a huge factor behind as to why he is still on the roster.
  22. How many on this board actually pay for season tickets? Actually how many attend games or pay for seats on a regular basis? Corporate sponsors are what purchase the tickets and I presume there is a waiting list to get season tickets for what comes available. I could be wrong but I heard there is a 10-year wait list for season tickets. The public does have some pull but its limited more than you think. We gripe and moan on these boards but who actually has skin in the game.
  23. This season has been and still is a mess. It is extremely frustrating to watch, In fact I get worked up to the point of there is nothing positive to latch on to. The only frustration I have with Sutter is his stubbornness in playing the 4th line of Lewis, Lucic, and Ritchie. Although they scored the last game are 90-95% non-factors each game. The rest is the players, there is no one exciting to watch. JG and MT were entertaining at least when they had the puck you could sense something may happen, this year its MEH. We have to be realistic in the facts that really is changing the systems or coach going to make these players more entertaining to watch, I don't think so. They can't take a pass now. Duehr to Lewis last night's great pass in the slot rolls off his stick into the corner, Hubie to guys in the slot nobody is ready. Guys pass to others at the point only to have it bobbled and go the other way, or put the other player in the worst spot possible. For me, this is like watching a broadway play at a high school, we don't have the right cast to pull it off. It fair in some instances understandable to blame the coach, however, until you get some form of a star on this team you have nothing to sell. The fact that we are even this close to a playoff spot with how bad the goaltending is the performance on the ice an with no game-breakers, although hard to comprehend is actually better than most of us want to believe. This whole mess is 40% GM, 40% players, 20% coaching, and systems IMHO. If you all want a different coach and system you better start with better players on the ice first and better goaltending.
  24. Trust me I get it but when you watch the difference between the Jets and Flames there is a huge difference in intensity and performance. Ther is nothing more than to see this club be a get in and make some noise
  25. It's just hard to watch as the Jets are now playing good hockey and the Flames are struggling to be anywhere near as good as they need to be. I can see us winning the CHI game, I just can't see us beating Jets the next day. They have the next 3 days off, we have to play travel and play a hot trending team in their own barn. The odds of us winning both games is extremely slim from what we see with this club. Hey, at least Sutter did mention that the younger guys were the difference-makers in this game
