Everyone on that list can get their linemates going whoever they happen to be.  One player on that list needs the right linemates in order to get himself going.

Well Florida has been lucky they have been able to outscore Bobrovsky's average goaltending for the last 4 years.  So I don't think Huberdeau stands alone as someone who doesn't belong on the list

Nurse and Jones at 9+ is okay?

We signed a contract after a player had got 100+ points on another team and got him in trade.

If we re-signed Gaudreau for this and he had a similar 22/23 season and another poor start, would we trash him?

Maybe if we had others that could score it wouldn't look so bad.

It was an old salary table. Nothing against Huberdeau except he is not worth 10M imo compared to other 10M players past or present.

And I would not disagree. 

 

Could have gone in many other threads and been presented much better, which was the point of my post. Creating a new thread to dump on a player that could have been just been added elsewhere isn't worth it IMO. 

 

Almost half of the players on your list are not worth what they are being paid.

First of all wingers and goalies don't belong on this list IMO, if you are paying top dollar for these positions you are doing it wrong.

 

Since 2020:

 

Panarin 1.26 pts/gm (272 points)

Pastrnak: 1.21 pts/gm (267 points)

Marner: 1.26 pts/gm (283 points)

Huberdeau: 1.04 pts/game (243 points)

 

Tavares: .97 pts/gm (225 points)

Kopitar: .88 pts/gm (208 points)

Eichel: .91 pts/gm (129 points)

 

So I would say Price, Bobrovsky, Tavares, Kopitar and Eichel belong on this list less than Huberdeau does.
