Yegorov was not a pick that I understood.   I mean I am a Russian goalie cheerleader yes, but this was a head-scratcher nonetheless.    Not a pick that I'm going to be watching closely or having high expecations for.

Gridin, on the other hand, i feel they nailed that pick.

What's your issue with this particular Russian goalie?  Someone said he looked bushed.  Did he fly over to NA via Westjet?  Was he here for some time?  He's still what 18 turning 18?

No issue.    I just haven't seen anything to get excited about.  Could change.

Gridin...I think...is a goalie that will be very fun to track.

Yegorov looks completely exhausted.

Not sure what video you were watching.  He looked bored to me, not exhausted.

Fair enough. I left it at that. He was doing very little puck tracking, but perhaps because of the repetitiveness of the drill.

I thought maybe it was the travel. It wasn't a long clip, so not a lot of context.

Wasn't putting him down, just an observation.

Awesome!! Who doesn't love youtube on a giant tv screen!!

Overflowing crowd at the game.  Will rewatch later.  Lot of buzz in the crowd. Very entertaining first half, with several goals and cool plays… a lot of dynamism.

Sam Morton is a fun player to watch.  I know he should be, here, due to age. Still, I love how he just cruises lanes.

Misa scores again.

150th oa. I'm beside myself. I thought mid-2nd.

Yeah, Morton was quite good.  Misa, Mews, Parekh x2, Brzucstewich and many others very impressive as well.  Thoroughly enjoyed the game.  Well done on the Flames.

Thanks I watched the first half.

Misa, Stromgren, and older Parekh was good.  Zayne scored but was otherwise unnoticeable.

Also felt Jurco was good.  Grushnikov wasn't so good.  Basha had some good moments.

Coronato played like he didn't want to be there.  Was expecting NHL level domination just he faded into the background.

Morton was very good with the wranglers as well. He would be a good 4th line skilled guy

Summer hockey. Not really worth evaluating too heavily, but I will anyway lol.

Morton was really good with the Wranglers. I think there's a pathway for him to carve an NHL career. Like the Duehr's and Hathaway's before him.

Good for Misa. He's going to be a lot of fun to watch this year. He's got speed which is an organizational weakness.

We’ll, perhaps you should watch the whole game?

I've been rolling through/talking to a bunch of opinions on teams drafts.

We're getting a ton of love.

For me, that means we can't look back in 4 yrs and say, coulda woulda shoulda in hindsight. lol

Speak now, or forever hold your peace.

Stromgren is on a very solid trajectory right now to be an NHL player. Thought he took a jump last year playing with the Wranglers and he seems to be continuing that growth.

Not sure he's ready to make the NHL out of camp but he's developing into someone worth watchin which is a credit to him. He's got a skill set they need and would be a valuable player if he can make it.

Would have like to see his progression the end of last season when we were just filling out the roster.  I didn't think Schwindt was that ready, so we barely got to see him.  Klapka probably earned it, but like I said it would have been interesting if we could have brought up Strom.

I didn't see any Wranglers games so I can only go by blogs or opinions here.  If he is ready, then it's likely 4th line battling for more minutes.

Guessing you caught some live hockey last week? I've always kinda championed Stromgren. Likely more because of the common opinion of dissent against him. I'm really happy that Flames fans are saying good things about him now.

To keep it brief, don't Blockchaining Satoshi Nakamoto on your draft picks. I don't mean you cross, just a generalization. Did I want Parekh? Nope.

That kid is going to make Orr and Makar look like AHLers is my new outlook.

Unfortunately no I couldn't make it up there. Just going of highlights, some of the game and what I heard.

I hear you. I wanted Stankoven and still wish the Flames had him, and still think he's the better prospect. I can also see what the Flames saw in Stromgren and why they wanted him. Would rather root for what we have then lament what we don't.
