I believe he started the Connor McDavid Watch thread in around 2013, and possibly the Ryan Nugent Hopkins thread (although, I'm less certain of the title of that one) circa 2010. JJ has always been an advocate of blowing it up... he probably started that thread, too.

never liked RNH that I can remember (you're testing me here).   But, McDavid should have been in Calgary, we were literally in the middle of our rebuild when we decided to cut it short ahead of the best draft in decades.

 

Guilty as charged, but it is more a reaction to the short term decisions the organization makes.

 

All I really want is a decent long term plan.  Gimme an ELC pipeline that includes goalies and D worth looking forward to and I'm good.

this is the part I want. And if the team were to just concentrate on what we have now and build through the draft, I would be happy there too. 
 

we have decent players. If Zary can come up and be a middle 6, Poirier be a pp specialist and a good 4/5 option in 2 years and we still have Weegar and Andersson, that's still decent. Maybe we still have Kylington and he's continued to progress. Maybe it's Hanifin. But there is a decent foundation to work from if the kids can graduate to the NHL and are legit middle six and 4/5/6D. 
 

I get we need to gut the team, but I also don't think it is necessary. I want high end talent. The way we operate means we NEED to scout at all levels better to get that.

Team drafting/prospects (in progress) and looking positive

Team chemistry (T.B.D.) will Kadri buy-in, Lindholm role stays?, Hanafin trade (hope so), Hubby learn to shoot once per game the list goes on.

I like to see this team perform with the young upcoming more of a rebuild this year and get setup for the next few years as a contender. (T.B.D.)

Have to wait for some sign of cowbell and not the tendency to replace the bell with a piece of crap.
