Nashville is sucking recently, Saros is a great goalie, but you would never know it. We played once and lost in OT. Meaningless. We played Dallas twice and lost G1 in OT. Meaningless. We came back with the miracle run in regulation. I think we match up pretty well against either. Regaular season records against a team don't mean much. Vegas has a narrow lane in. As does LA, but a little closer there. VAN has a limited chance. EDM is more likely.

AT some point I would like to see Marky get a break, but also need to keep him sharp and get his game on track. Not that he is a problem, just need to get the 5 man unit back to working together to lessen his work. Too many shots against in game we should dominate. Too many high grade chances against. Clean it up for the 'offs. Good day RD, and thanks again for the GDT. Hope you had the day off. Game an hour earlier, but not a huge difference.

It's funny how he talks about Gaudrea (compared to what Francis predicted). Says that Johnny is more demanding of his line mates. You started to see the emergence of the player last year under Sutter, now he has taken that to a new level. I love listening to his pre and post game presers. Made fun of Eric last one. Always says that guys are battling for minutes, and if you don't, great view from the stands. No free ride. When Lucic struggles, his minutes drop off. When the line is producing, they bump up. The good and bad thing about Lucic is nobody can play his game, but also we don't have a roster player to even take a 4LW spot. With Bennett and Dube last playoffs, he was a difference maker. If they can find the right balance of speed (to offset his lack) and possession and forechecking, they will be a dangerous line next month. Other than injuries taking their toll, we are seeing the guys earnng the minutes. The lines may not be 100%, but we have a pretty good idea of the top 9. Well, it remains to be seen what the combos are, but we are seeing some that don't need changes.

We have a point at least against every NHL team this year. Only team in the Pacific to actually have clinched the playoffs. 6th overall in points %. 5th overall in regulation wins. 2n lowest in goals agains (down by 1 to CAR). Oh right, this isn't the positivity thread. Clinch 1st in the division this week. Come on we know you can do it.

We are tops in scoring first, so I'm not sure how that is even slow starts. But anyway, I like how we finish games. As Sutter would say, win the 3rd and you win a lot of games. We also haven't been a tough team to play at home in years past. That is sure different now.

There wan't much to hate about him or Guddy, but they were doing things I wasn't too happy with at times. Nothing remarkable, but stuff you shouldn't do against a top team. I just think their timing is a bit off. Never worried about the offense from Kyl, just the stuff in our end. He plays at the limits of his edges, which leads to falling. He has a couple of tumbles which could have ended badly. He's tough as nails, but I am concerned about him on the boards. Especially in a "nothing" game.

Sutter is coaching the mistakes. Gave Lucic and Markstron some strong words for their play. Clean up the details. So, maybe I'm a homer but I think we have shown the face of a contender, but have been derailed with simple coachable moments. Poor line changes, too many men penalties, not clearing the zone with a first pass (PK even more so), letting a guy get stick position on you....He's still working through lines and pairs. Making subtle changes and seeing how they work. I didn't see any mention of why Ruzie came in on emergency loan, but he did play an okay game. Kylngton and Guddy both looked a little behind the play at times. Both had a giveaway, but they weren't thi only ones or the worst. The last two games have been a bit of a struggle for them, but I think it's just getting back up to speed. This game was so bizarre, I don't think you can read too much into it. One or both might sit in the B2B's coming up, but I think they are 2 of the main 6. There is still competition, but I don't think they have done enough wrong or the other guys enough right to make any permannt change.

I don't know, do you think they don't show up? They have scored first in 6 of the last 10, losing 1 of the games they didn't score first. Tied with STL after 1. None of the first perios were blow outs. Not that we are perfect or don't have problems, but the first period isn't one of them. We lead the league in scoring first, but we have trouble winning if we are down after two.

If they both end up at 96, Vegas finsihes ahead. Unlikely scenario, but the two SO by Smith is setting them up to fail. They next play DAL and COL, two team they have trouble with. Follow with a roadie to CBJ and PIT If they haven't won at least one game by then, the last two will have them freaking out.

Hope for some EDM losses to go with our wins.

EDM plays DAL, COL and PIT, but also has 3 non-playoff teams. If Vegas and LA stay in the hunt, EDM's season could be decided by VAN. VGK max = 99 LA max = 100 EDM max = 106, but they realistically could get just 98. I have no idea what may happen. LA is a team that can win games 2-1. Vegas either kills it or craps the bed. EDM is riding the hot hand of the Old Guy. Shaping up to running him into the playoffs, should they get there. NAS is really playing strange. No idea what team they are anymore. They might actually fall out of the hunt. They have 8 games left, but a tough schecule.

It seems like a firght for Wright. ARI has never won 1st overall, do it really doesn't matter. I hope that ARI or Seattle get the player. MTL ends up 4th overall or worse. ARI won 1 without Keller and 2 without Chychrun. But your point is valid. Berween TDL and injuries, the bottom 3 teams are really bad. Price may have one victory left in him this season. He's not going to play a bunch of games in this farce pf a season for them.

If we can re-sign him for a decent price we should. Not enough priactice to get him used to it. He could prove his value more in the playoffs, He seems to win a few draws, so we need that. It might make some sense to use him with Backlund. Backlund gets tossed and average of 4 times per game (estimate). We could use the extra wins on the dot. Maybe save Dube for the 3C spot. Ruzie at 4C.

And the Kings up to 90 points. Vegas may have lost the playoffs today. NAS and DAL both hit 91 today.

There is a worse team called MTL, who has 14 regulation wins. ARI even has more total wins. THe points difference is very slight. Seattle is guaranteed #3 feardless, right? Pottentially ARI could draft 4th? Not sure..
