Just 3 single point games is all we need. That's crazy. Or a regulation loss and OTL by EDM. I prefer we get two wins, but would accept EDM losing to Dallas and we clinch that much sooner.

Here's a quiz. Johnny sitting at 38 goals and 107 points, 3rd in league scoring, 1st in +/-, 1st in EV points. Tkachuk sitting at 39 goals and 98 points, 6th in league scoring, 3rd in +/-, 3rd in EV points. Lindholm sitting at 39 goals, 2nd in +/-, 11th in EV points. And the questions are...... Does Gaudreau or Tkachuk or Lindholm hit 40 goals first? Does Gaudreau end the season in the top 2 in scoring? Does Gaudreau hit 40 goals before Tkachuk hits 100 points?

^^^^^ That's an interesting comparison. 18/19 looked like a steady [progression until game 51, then a slight surge from 57-64. After that it was win, losses, win, loss, wins, losses, wins losses. This year we were in a funk from 30-39, then minor loss streaks after then. I think before the last 3 game losing streak, we had gone with a loss followed by a win. Ball talked about it, only to have that streak broken. Less peaks and valleys it seems. We can equal our 18/19 season total with 4 points. What clinched the West in that year will only clinch the Pacific this year. We can do better than 2 more wins.

I was thinking about it, then after I posted I saw Steinberg tweeted it. I can't explain the drop from 3.0 in one game, but really it doesn't matter. Just found it odd.

Maybe I'm missing something. We have 103, and one win takes us to 105 and 1 OTL takes us to 106. EDM can only get 106 max. We would beat them in the first tie breaker with 43 RW vs 41. That should mean a magic number of 1.5.

I hope we get this version of the Stars and not the ones that always seem to won the Oilers. I haven't checked the permutations and combinations but it's possible for LA to hit 100, Nucks 96 and Oilers stuck at 94. That could actuall result in the Oilers being eliminated. Pretty hard for them to fail that hard this late, but it's possible. The final game for both EDM and VAN could be a decider for the playoffs. Or it could be a nothing game for VAN. If EDM gets in, you will see Smith get the call as the starter. Doesn't deserve it,and one can expect a repeat of last year or when he was out goalie. Looks like he'scrushing it, but ultimately loses.

Flames like to keep it interesting. The game was called like a playoff game. So much fun. Tkachuk needs to stop trying to draw calls on trips. The refs aren't buying it. Staying on the ice just takes you out of the play.

+61 for the season so far. 107 points. 85 even strength points.

That's why why you put the top line out there to finish the game. Gaudreau with 107 for the year.
