205 pounds is big for a kid. RW. As usual they don't do a stats pack on him. There seems to be some Flames fans in the building. They cheer every pick.

I get that, but it seemed like a roundabout way of getting a 25 pick. I'm not trashing BT. He had few picks to work with and I think his scouts didn't see anyone they really wanted when they picked in the first and likely when they were picking in the 2nd.

Maybe to re-sign Stammer? Sergachev was often injured so maybe they feel he is a risk. Tanner J never worked out.

If I was a scout, I would ignore tourneys and only look at regular season. There is just so much risk that it was situation that created the play. Think Puljujarvi as one example.

I play the Devil's advocate in pointing out things. I can see it being read that way, but just wanted to clear the air.

They profiled the guys before and after our pick. We got sandwiched by the trade.

Reply to both you and JJ. I was implying that we got two top players and could have only got one by playing it differently. So far no bad surprises. But again, this is all subjective. We didn't pick a Janko or pass on a Stankhoven. Down the road we will likely say, man we missed out on this guy.

If you took Basha at 28 and Grid-man was not there at 41, they would be annoyed. So, really have we even reached? We got two players that could have been 1st round. We seem to be taking more players you would expect. No WTF moments.
