It's funny with many how patience is preached by most but goes straight into the toilet when adversity arises.

I've liked Sharangovich since his rookie year. Folks really have to give players time to adapt their game to new settings. I thought Rango looked really good too. Zary has been great at creating space for him and Kadri. Pospisil has been good at driving the net and getting in the goalies sight lines. Both have been good at creating lanes on the ice. Something our vets seem to have frustratingly not bothered with, and why we never score imo. Too little movement.

Top marks for Markstrom yet again, and to the team for giving him some runs to work with.

Finally a full 60 minute effort, that must have been a great live viewing.

My biggest issue is the team trying to push players to work in certain situations that have been tried so often.

The counter to that is players often go through struggles.

Going back to them means they have shown a practice where they work through it.

Pushing Huberdeau with Kadri hasn't worked and actually hurt Kadri.

Other than an occasional PP, I haven't seen chemistry between them.

It's somewhat logical to play Huberdeau with Lindholm, but the problem is neither drives the play.

Neither is good at zone entries.

Dube doesn't help, nor does Mangiapane.

The latter has been okay once they gain the zone.

So, for a few games we have seen two lines stand out:

Kadri with Zary and Govich.

Backlund with Pospisil and Coleman.

After that it gets muddy.

But, by no means should Mangiapane getting back mean a demotion of Pospisil.

Every time I think about what works, it leaves out a top 6 player.

Huberdeau-Ruzicka-Lindholm makes sense having two different strong side C's.

Ruzicka is a big body that can enter the zone with support, since he knows how to pass and take passes.

That leaves out Dube and Mangiapane, forcing a line of Mange-Dube-Duehr.

Perhaps my issue is to black and white.

Maybe just line up players on 1st and 4th line according to best fit.

The lines play somewhat even in 5v5 minutes, but individuals get extra minutes on special teams.

Then it doesn't matter if Huberdeau plays with Riuzicka.

I'd be ok with that Dube, Mangiapane Duehr Line. Not saying Mange as C...
