Ritchie is injured I believe.

If only we had another young forward to play on that 4th line with Duehr.

I think me and you are on the same wave length regarding the 4th line. Maybe Sutter is showing both Ruzie and Duehr how to play on that grinder energy line and be effective by playing them separately with Lewis?

Maybe.  Tonight was all about load management.

Kept the ice times similar up and down the lineup.

I hope.

I won't get too excited about beating a basement team.

Tomorrow is the one we need more than anything.

And a two game winning streak is something.

I agree this is a game you have to win. But this year we have lost a number of those games (ie: Chicago, Columbus), so yeah I’ll take this win, even if it is with a grain of salt. Time to up the game to play against some of the heavy weights of the west.

Sloppy win but we need it. Too many opportunities not capitalized on and too many break downs as well. You van have 14 shots on net and allow 3 goals either. Take the 2 and pray for a solid effort and a win tommorow would be a blessing

I would say that one goal was a bad play at the blueline (Tanev to Lewis) and Tanev knicks it in.

First goal was a PP and Vladar had little chance.  He was too deep, but you have to cover the near post.

The 3rd goal was not a great one.  Tough shot, but he fanned on the save.

The games like this are tough on the goalie.

3 shots in the first.

Faces a PP early the next period.

The other goalie gets a lot of touches early and gets a feel for it.

Sort of the problem with dominating but not getting goals.

I will take the win, but need to see more from the Hubey line at 5v5.

If they get a new arena. I wouldn’t do business with this owner, he didn’t pay his taxes at the last arena and that’s why they have to play in this arena that wouldn’t even be big enough for a WHL team.

The Coyotes are Bettman’s pet project and that’s the only reason they are still there. A major sports franchise shouldn’t be playing in a 5,000 seat arena for any regular season games let alone for multiple seasons.

Maybe things will change with Bettman already announced his retirement.

The next 4 games in advance of the TDL.  Anything less than 3 of 4 and there is no point in trying to scrape together a strong finish to the season.  While they are not direct competition for a WC spot, failure to win suggests we can't win a series against that level of team.

Some context around games in Vegas:

Flames are 0-7 lifetime in Vegas, outscored 30-8 with a 6.7% PP and 75% PK.

This is reminding me too much of the years of struggles in Anaheim.

I suppose that they are more likely to win because they are very much the underdog.

All time 0-7, 2nd game of a B2B set.

Trap game for Vegas.

They really only need to keep pace in march. If we can be a couple points within a playoff spot or better then we should be fine.

Nothing too difficult here

Well, we have had success against VAN, ANA and SJS, but not against NAS, CHI, WPG.
