My biggest flaw was picking Dube and goes to show how players perform differently at times.

Don't feel bad, I picked Hanifin. Hanifin was borderline atrocious while I invested that he could drive play from the point.

Your biggest flaw was ignoring Rangers. I ignored Boston and Carolina because that series was a toss up.

I also had Zibanijad in my initial list but swapped him for McTool because I wanted equal Eastern & Western guys.

The Pens almost doomed my Rangers, but like Tampa, NYR goalie became desperate. Something we needed Markstrom to do but he never got there.

Watching Shesterkin now, wowee that guy is unreal.

Tampa is getting out-goalied.

We got no-goalied.

Great first round, but horroble 2nd.

The Oiler goals weren't anything special.

I wouldn't even say that McD was key.

He didn't turn the series, it was never there.

3 glove side goals in game 1 vs the Oilers started poisoning his mind. There's no time to practice getting it back.

Glove side weakness is a bit of a concern with him. He made it a bigger concern than it should have been. It got to him. Then you over-compensate. Nothing's working, no practice time, uh-oh.

I don't think the Oilers are his kryptonite, they just go glove-side. His confidence melted a bit perhaps..

It culminated with the OT goal.

Is what is. Sometimes it feels like there's a whole in your glove.

He's an exceptional goalie, he'll learn from it.

I have no concern about Marky in general.  He was superb in round 1.

Yes, it was game 1 that ruined him for this series.

I mean it was all still winnable, wasn't it.

Offence had to compensate but didn't.

Needed to get that 4th goal in game 2.

Needed more than 1 in game 3.

A comeback in game 4, then a weak goal followed by a double-minor to seal the fate.

An overturned goal in 5.

The third round is a lot less calls being made, yet it's the exact same refs.

How is it that we managed to see some of the worst reffing in the playoffs in a round.

Even the real slewfoots by Benn in round 1 were ignored, and that was better called.

That's not saying a lot.

I LOL at the Oiler fans belief that they are getting jobbed.

Kane called for his BS.

McD's picks and slashes ignored.

Draisaitl taken down by a stronger player and somehow that must be a slew foot.

2 foot tall Yamamoto open ice hit and it's somehow a dirty hit.

No different than Zaddy on Kase; smaller players playing low it happens.

It's somehow strange that Kadri, noted hitman, misses another series for being on the other side of the hit.

What's that, 5 in a row now?

Avoids any discipline for the Bing hit, but ends up being hit.

I sometimes wonder if giving Vladar a game might have changed things. He looked good in his small sample of play. It might have given Markstrom a reset. But it’s mind games and don’t mess with goalies. Other teams did it. NYR did it with Shesterkin.

I guess not everything worked as simply as a reset.

Shesty pulled after 20 minutes and 4 goals.

Next game Shesty pulled after 40 minutes and 6 goals.

Next game Shesty lets in 3 but Rags score 5.

Then 3 let in and 3 let in.

Really, if they were going to salvage Markstrom's confidence, it should have come at the 6-4 point.

Or a timeout called after the 6-3 goal.

5 goals on a total of 18 shots by the end of the 2nd.

Thank christ the Oilers are toast. Go Rangers!! I'd be at 246 had I kept Zibanejad over McTool.

Yes, I am monitoring that.lol

I feel so dirty.

I was ready to have 4 Rangers, but chose 4 Panthers instead.🙄

I had FLA-NYR as my E final, CGY-AVS W final as my bracket.

I should have been 3 for 4.🤬

NYR are doing one thing for me. Getting me excited that the Wings rebuild will be done soon.lol

Ridiculously rich in D prospects, another great fwd in Berggren and Veleno ready to have an impact.

2 years they'll be young, fast and HUGE on D. Interested to see how Elmer Soderblom translates to NA next year.

6'8" forward with skills. They call him "immovable object" in front of the net.lol

Was expecting the ECF to be over after game 2 win.  Now with TBL back to tied, it's anyone's game.  My only chance to even give Con a run is if it's NY in the SCF.  And that's only if Zib and Kreider are the only scorers for them.

I have Kreider:) Plus Fox and Panarin. Just not Zibanejad.

If TBay wins, pikey can give me a run. He has Landeskog.

edit

oooh, but he has Point, I have Hedman.

I have all of R2's players so he's out.

I'm sitting pretty due to Rangers. Kinda lucky as the Pens had them on the ropes. I'd have been toast.

Zib and Kreider get me close to or ahead of Pikey and R2.

But Landeskog presents an issue for me.

In reality, I was done when McD and Drai scored 63 points.

I thought I had Hedman 🤬🤷‍♂️, all so I could bet on Dube and lose 😭. Hahahaha, I desperately need a Tampa Avs Final, lol.

Lol I just want a TBL final against no-one and they win each game 64-0.

I sill would not win as Loucifer has the same players as me but I wouldn't be last!!

And then there were 2......

31162adcbba7a27cdfc9723f4d16e0c4.png

At the top

Conundruned, Rob and TD all have the same 6 players left so they cannot pass each other.

Pikey has 7 players left with an extra player in Landeskog and has Point instead of Hedman.  So if Point plays and outperforms Headman and Landeskog scores a few Pikey is the only one that can chase down Conundrumed.

In the mushy middle

Saymzies has 3 players left and cannot make gains on the top 4 as he has the same players.  Likewise for FFIJL who has 4 players left but he could pass Saymzies

Languishing in the deep

RD cannot pass Loucifer as they have the same 5 Tampa players.   Addicted has no Lightning skin in the game but could cash in on his 5 Colarado picks but probably we have our bottom 3.

Overall we have 10 players left in from our starting 56.

Should have gone heavier on AVS.

13-2 record this playoffs.

Yikes, could it be their year?

I think it's more of a feeling each other out process. Adjust, move fwd. I still think the Avs are in big trouble.

Both teams will watch tape & adjust. This where Tampa is lethal, imho.

Perhaps I'm wrong, we shall see.

I'm almost expecting a series like NY and CAR, where the home team wins every game until it's game 7.

Vas looked a bit uncomfortable last night.

Tampa is deadly when they get going.

Nate was not much of a factor, which is odd.

Makar held to zero shots.

Both teams have depth.

One of the more even series where special teams and goal tending may be the only differences.

After all, Mike Smith isn't in nets.
