How was that a Hunt penalty?

The McDavid factor is the opposite of the Wideman factor.

I thought it was a good defensive play myself.

Refs are a joke these days.

Obvious hacks and trips let go.

Play a guy tough and you get a holding call.

Picks ignored most of the time now.

If McDavid falls, it must be a penalty.

The Cats feed just did a nice bit on Bennett. Career-tying 18th goal tonight in his 33rd game. 43pts in 46 games with the Panthers. They loooove him. Raved about his play away from the puck and I definitely agree with them there.

Who is in net for Van?

Spencer Martin.  Has 1 game experience, beat the Fancy Cats.

Demko and Halak both off sick, COVID for at least one of them.

Martin just got back.

I was watching the FLA game, but picked up the wrong feed thinking it was in FLA.

Didn't see the Bennett thing, but I knew he was one away from tying it.

Then mentioned it was his 18th.

That's the part that bothers me.  Oiler fans are insensed when someebody touches him and there isn't a penalty for being mauled.  Louie and Jack are the worst for talking about that crap.  The last playoffs, I thought the refs did a good job of not being fooled.  He uses his edges so much that he is a taint away from falling most of the time.

He's getting to the point of diving now.  So desperate.  Probably wouldn;t care about Kane coming in.  Help to have SN fan boys and "insiders" carrying the water for the team.  Fans don't even have consistent opinions anymore.

Van is a total abomination at 3-on-3. Easily the worst I've ever seen.

Myers had a head scratcher.

Has possession, throws the puck in deep with nobody even heading there.

TBH, I wasn't sure if they were trying to win or go for the tie.

They could use a player like Hanifin in OT. LOL

As usual, a light check into the boards gives the Oilers their 3rd PP with VAN not even getting one.

They kept the Oilers to the outside, but as you might expect, 3 minutes in a row of McD and Drai with no time for VAN to change, results in the tying goal.

VAN was attacking Kostco exactly the way we were.

Shoot low.

The first goal was high glove.

The shorty was 5 hole.

Shocking. His glove drops as pressure goes on. Outside of that, he's not the source of the problem as is parlayed.

Lack of commitment to playing defence is killing them. And Tippett's their coach. Makes no sense.

I noticed that every O zone play is design like they are on a PP.

Get it to McD.

Set up Drai.

Point shots from D.

RInce and repeat.

Zone entries consist of McD gaining speed and trying to get a PP.

Russell is the only player that understands what it takes to play D.

Blicks shots.

Gets in lanes.

The PK isn't too bad, so learn from that.

They are a tire fire worth making fun of.

Because they are what they are, in a 65 minute game, the top 2 played 27 minutes each.

In 3 PP's, they each played 5:47.

5 players played 9 minutes or less.

VAN's centers were unable to win draws.

And the goalie EDM faced was playing his 2nd career game.

This is a team built to lose in the playoffs.

After a short season last year against just Canadian teams, they were cooked by the playoffs.

Right now they are only 38 games into an 82 game season.

Barely beating a non-playoff team with a 3rd string goalie is nothing to get excited about.
