I know we had a lot of hits, but I really didn't notice them. We played a good period against the Cats. And let them walk us the 2nd. Tonight we played a good 1st period, but lost control in the 2nd. Back to losing 2nd periods again. Sutter needs to look at the use of Dube at C on the road. It makes for a small 2nd line. Monahan hasn't looked good on the 4th line in some time. I’d say D zone coverage is fixable. Unfortunately our true need is where we’ve always been in need. Center. With Backlund and Mony being what they are, we’ve got 2 neutered forward lines. Backlund hasn't looked good since he was playing with Mangiapane. I think the lines have looked mostly bad for the last few games. We lucked out with two wins where we maybe didn't have the right mix but managed the points. The last two have been completely wrong. Backlund isn't playing a good defensive game now.
