I think some of the Dev camp invites got invited to the tourney.  Burke was one of them for sure.  Sevigny as well I think.

Not sure about Bowles, Foo, and Rempal.  I don't think any college guys would be there, as they have to pay their own way.

Can't sign them unless they decide to forgo NCAA hockey for the year.

Sevigny was invited to Dev Camp as soon as he went undrafted.

Plus I think the college camps begin before the prospects tourney and they are needed in there.

I believe that is true.  For some reason I thought Janko played in one.  Might just have been the dev camp.

It would have been good to have a chance to see some of the college invites too, as it would give us an option to sign them.  Nobody really great, but some guys with similar numbers to Jooris.

I was impressed with him at the development camp.  It wouldn't surprise me if they sign him.  I believe he's eligible to play in the AHL.

They will have to ink him prior to the start of the WHL season or he goes back in the draft next year,  Sorry, but he is too young to play in the AHL this season.

If I recall correctly, the Flames usually announce their roster at the 11th hour.  Basically, a couple days before the tournament.

I'm pretty sure I saw where the Maple Leafs and Ottawa had announced the rosters for their prospects tournament.  The Flames should take note.

No kidding.

Well, I'm bored and stuck in office hours, so I'm going to take a stab at making some lines with predictions of the roster.

Roster:

F:

CARROLL
DILLON DUBE
MARK JANKOWSKI
PAVEL KARNAUKHOV
MORGAN KLIMCHUK
LINUS LINDSTROM
ANDREW MANGIAPANE
MATTHEW PHILLIPS
EMILE POIRIER
BRETT POLLOCK
HUNTER SHINKARUK
HUNTER SMITH
MATTHEW TKACHUK
EETU TUULOLA

B. BURKE

MATTSON??

D:

RASMUS ANDERSSON
RYAN CULKIN
KEEGAN KANZIG
BRETT KULAK
OLIVER KYLINGTON
KENNEY MORRISON
ADAM OLLAS MATTSSON
TYLER WOTHERSPOON?
ADAM FOX??

G:

Not predicting this one.

Tkachuk – Jankow – Shinkaruk

Mangia – Lindstrom – Porrier

Pollock – Phillips – Tuulola

Klimchuk – Dube/Burke – Smith/Carroll

Karnaukhov – Burke/Dube – Carroll/Smith

*This assumes Pribyl is not playing, otherwise my RW changes a lot.

Kulak – Andersson

Kylington – Morrison

Culkin – Ollas-Mattson

Kanzig – Camp Invite

*I'm assuming T-spoon isn't playing (what does he have to prove here?)

Ok, so you can scratch the following:

Pavel Karnaukhov (Europe)

Adam Olas-Mattsson (Europe)

Linus Lindstrom

Adam Fox (NCAA)

Any other NCAA player.

Agree.  So 2 extra F and 2 extra D. Think those might be: Bruce & Falkovsky (D), then Parsons & Rittich & McDonald (G) and Mattson (F) to round out the line-up.

I'd give each Goalie 1 game and look at these potential lines, rotating the extras in by Period or game depending on whether the Roster size limit is 23 or more:

Tkachuk – Jankowski – Poirier/Shinkaruk

Klimchuk - Dube - Tuulola

Mangiapanne – Matsson – Smith

Pollock – Phillips/Burke(invite) – Carroll

Kulak – Morrison

Kylington – Andersson

Culkin/Bruce – Falkovsky/Kanzig

I'm not sure what happened to Falkowsky.  I thought he was supposed to be with the 67's this year, but isn't on their roster.

Yeah, I wasn't sure on the Euros. I knew they were here for dev camp, but I wasn't sure if they were still around. I also put "??" by players I think are heading to college. I wasn't sure on first years like Adam Fox though.

Roster and schedule released. Downside of drafting more on the college/Euro side is this is a pretty skimpy roster going to the tournament. Lots of invites, especially at forward.

A few were at the dev camp and either impressed enough or were fill-ins:

Burke, Kravchenko, Sevigny, Dyukov, Doucet.  Of these guys, only Burke has decent numbers.  Aagaard is not bad, but nothing to write home about.  I would be happy if Burke got a contract out of the deal.  He needs to go back to junior this season.  A day too young to play in the AHL.

I'm surprised to see Doucet.  I watched him at dev camp and I would say he was gravely out of shape.  He was dead last in the mountain climbers, finishing behind even the goalies.  At the end of the session, the players took a knee at centre ice for a de-brief.  When it was over, Doucet struggled to get to his feet.

I thought Falkovsky was having Visa issues.  I guess those got sorted out.

Four goalies is a lot to deal with in both practice and only three games.  My guess is Gillies gets limited minutes.

Also, no Poirier or Shinkaruk, but Klimchuk is on the roster.  What can be read into that?  (Is it an age thing?  He's a few months younger than the other two)
