With them starting at 4 or 5pm here, and me not freeing up till the kid goes to bed at 7:30.... it would be nice to see every game go extra periods... It appears this year homes games are so important. Not sure why, but Chicago crowd is one the best places for the extra man effect. Chicago in 7. Carty Posted June 18, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2013 The Hawks had Stalberg back in the lineup, but just did not look the same without Hossa who was a last minute scratch after he was injured during the warmup... Smith didn't even skate in the warmup because he was such a late addition... Hossa is listed as day to day, and no doubt Hawks fans are hoping he's back for next game... I'm sorry, but imagine if he wasn't a canadian golden child, he would, AND SHOULD, be getting roasted on TSN and CBC, and all other NHL media outlets. - Kovlachuk-style from last yr. Anyone remember Kovlachuk getting thrashed on national TV from the final last yr? IF you do, the hypocrisy is amazing. Brutal output from Toews. Don't care about the intangibles when the tangibles are so poor. He needs to step it up if the Hawks wish to have a chance. I guess this is the nice little nugget i get to be thrown as 2 of my least favorite teams meet... one of their leaders exposed to the masses as overexposed and overrated. Still working the intangibles tho... Right position & team but wrong guy. Close but no cigar (I don't like cigars anyway. ) Toews tied up Chara pretty good to block sight lines for Rask.
