DL44
Is this the year Beast mode Ovechkin Playoff Edition wills his team to victory in a playoff round? I think they have a chance at an upset. I'm sure as Hell cheering for one. Caps with Backstrom back look quite a bit more potent. Bruins will miss Horton this yr. 2 extremely inconsistent teams.. no one know what the Hell we're gonna see. Everyones saying for the last 3months for the Bruins that their late season slumber means nothing and that the team is still built for the playoffs... We will soon find out. Switch flipping time... Have to favor the Bruins.. hopeful it goes the other way tho.
Flyerfan52
The Caps don't have enough to take out the Bruins. Bruins in 5. Sorry DL, if anyone is going to unseat Boston it will come in a later round.

Sorry DL, if anyone is going to unseat Boston it will come in a later round. I will agree. But I'll hold out hope they can't find the switch in order to flip it. Hope the switch is to hard to flip if they do find it. Or if they do find the switch and manage to flip it.. maybe Washington can find a bigger and better switch to flip. Coolie
Bruins in 6. Bruins have more depth, toughness, and better goaltending.
403Loyalty
Bruins in 5. as much as i hope ovi can turn his game around and be the prolific superstar is he.. bruins are the defending champs and my second team gotta give it to them
DirtyDeeds
Bruins in 6. Might be 5 but voting 6 games and Caps out. Washington has been too dysfunctional this season and not lived up to the expectations going into the year. They will grab 2 games only because of the small roll they had ending the season. Carty
Bruins in 6... That was my team when I was a kid, and continued to be until Calgary had a team... So that is my #2 to cheer for now... Back in the day, Cheevers was a pretty good role model for a goalie....
wally31
Bruins in 5... I really hope Horton makes a surprise return in round 2.
DL44
what a crappy goal to lose the game with after such a good gm for the kid... great to see the team behind him 100% tho. wonder if it works to really galvanize the caps... they were just one shot away from the win... EDIT: HOLY PUCK! I just saw the glass falling on the Bruins during the celebration! anyone know who and if he was injuried? That was a clear head shot, and intent to injure.. I predict 3 home gms for that pane of glass... just a brutal shot.

The_People1
I just watched the first period of game 2 and i can't watch anymore. There's actually a team out there with worse passing than the Flames. The Caps are literally 1 for 5 when passing the puck out their zone. Pucks passed right into teammates skates. Passing leading too far ahead. Spinnerama no-look passes. Even when passes are on target, passes are fluttering and can't be received. Non-stop neutral zone turnovers. conundrumed
The Point of contact!!: What degree do you figure his neck is at there?!!!: That is sickening. All I really made out from the tv highlights was Thomas going into panic mode. This is about another 25-50lbs from killing him, how does he not have at least some slipped or at the very least swollen discs?

This is about another 25-50lbs from killing him, how does he not have at least some slipped or at the very least swollen discs? I blew it up.... freaky. Chalk it up to young flexible tendons. Also had the 'luck' of falling forward on impact instead of 'jamming'.

conundrumed
Semin just had one of the best wrister goals I've seen. Blazed it with Chara in front of him and Thomas had no chance. Not a big fan, but wow, that was a whistling wrist shot. Speed of a slapper and the release was unreal.
Carty
Semin just had one of the best wrister goals I've seen. It was a whistler... and you're right, Thomas didn't have much of a chance on that one... At the other end, Holtby is playing very well...
Carty
And it's Holtby with a gave saving glove hand at the buzzer...
conundrumed
Caps are battling hard, 3-2 Caps in the 3rd. Holtby remains the story.
conundrumed
Caps 4-3 on a Brouwer wrister most NHL goalies stop. If I'm Thomas, I'm pretty embarrassed about calling my forwards out. Karma, baby, it'll get you every time. It's getting him right now for being kind of a *choose your fruit* this year. Hero to Zero in 3 easy steps. DL44
Wow... Caps have nooo business winning anything. can't believe they got up 3-2. Here's to a big 3rd period for them for that.. consolation prize.
conundrumed
Caps are 1 goal from killing the big bad bruins. Go Caps, go Dale Hunter's brand of playoff hockey. Johannson has been wicked effort, Semin, notsomuch. Semin'll score the winner, to save face.
