I’m not worried this sends any kind of message that we’re a playoff team. I think the most you can take from it is that there’s potential. I didn’t expect Kuzy and Huby to look so dynamic together in their first game together. I liked Pachal’s physicality. I liked the pack mentality with the rough stuff. Sharky looked decent at C. Entertaining game. Still Sell Hanifin and Tanev. Marky too.

Thanks TBC. Fingers crossed we can pry a first for Tanev. Some of the D in the past that returned a first are more questionable (imo) than Tanev. Plus he’s an RD! I’d like to see that deal for Hanifin. If Tanev gets traded relatively soon and/or before deadline day, I think Markstrom will consider moving this season. With Lindy and Mony both off the market at C, I wonder if Colorado does give some serious thought to reuniting with Kadri. Retaining $1M/year would NOT be a significant obstacle for a “retooling” team like the flames with the cap continuing to go up.

I thought the flames played well. Team game looks really good. A lucky bounce was the difference. McJesus and Dr. Drai held pointless. Can’t ask for more than that. The evidence is there that we played well.

I’d argue one. Drai is a good player, but does he make other players on the ice better? Or is he more of a finisher? IMO someone has to get him the puck or he’s not as effective.

Ya, the bouch bomb thing has become “his thing”. And sure, his allegiances may shine through from time to time. But, I heard just today that the Punjabi broadcast numbers are absolutely huge and that community has really embraced the game. They’ve become impassioned with hockey, and I’m a “more the merrier” kinda guy so I’m all for the soccer style calls and excitement. Maybe he’ll adopt the word “brilliant” from soccer and well hear nothing but brilliant passing, brilliant shooting, and brilliant rehydrating on the bench hahaha
