  1. What is it, 5.5 x 7? He and Nuge can help each other get off their rockers.
  2. That deal is deal I believe. Not worth it to TO for a late round pick. At best they were offering a crap pick. I mean it's still a pick, but do they bother? If you like the darn player, sign him and trade one of your "stars".
  3. Poor Holland. Nobody available at 20 in the over 35 age group to draft. Hardest thing for him is explaining to the media why he would pick a goalie. So, he got out of the situation by trading to a team that likes goalies.
  4. Sorry, that is what I meant b my comment. You only jump for a player like that that dropped.
  5. There wasn't any player that you should jump up two to get.
  6. Oops, forgot about the goalie factory Nashville.
  7. If any team could screw up a goalie, EDM shines. Wally is too small for them, but if they have any sense, they pick him.
  8. Really, I think he is the forward I wanted, but felt he might be a reach. Not many left that I would have picked over him. If he's a goal scorer, then great. We don't have one.
  9. I think so. Moved past Dallas to be sure
  10. Not really my wish. I didn't expect him to drop. Also, I was really only against taking Cossa. On a side note, looks like we aren't in on Eichel.
  11. LW but shoots right. 175 lbs to go with 5'10"
  12. Gives BT time to trade the pick. "and we have a trade to announce"....
  13. They were all along. We passed CHI in the standings. WTF Ottawa?
  14. You will be haha hammered by the time the Flames pass on a goalie.
  15. I didn't make the connection. Yeah, that would have been weird.
  16. He was $1m last year, right? Wouldn't Toronto just re-sign him for that or a slight bump? Not like they are bringing back Jumbo Joe. Or at least shouldn't.
  17. And there is some talk about our interest in him in trade. I'm not sure how we do it without involving draft picks though. Also, I have no idea what ARI is trying to do anymore. They have tons of draft picks this and next year. But they seem content in trading for cap dumps. Garland and Dvorak and maybe Schmaltz (not in that order) would be my interest.
  18. That's all I am talking about with Monahan; his health. Of all the players from the core, only him, Gaudreau and Tkachuk seem to be mentioned as trades.
  19. The holes are obvious. We have 5 guys that can play in the top 6, but Monahan is a big question mark. I think he could bounce back, but that's not a given. We don't have the RW top make one of the lines really good. Once Mangiapane is on the top 6, it starts to look a bit shaky. Lucic is too slow to really benefit Backlund. Dube could be due a breakout, but tying him to Lucic seems backwards. Pitlick is a smart choice for depth. What else do we have? Some prospects that are more suited for middle 6 than 4th line. Ricthie, who is at best a part time player.
  20. Seattle picks Pitlick and gets a 4th for it. Not exactly a win. If you are looking to make deals for some of the player you pick, then why not take ones that have greater value. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of their choices at D. A few of the forwards are players I would like to have. Just doesn't scream trades.
  21. As expected, some fishy news out of EDM. Klefbom will be on LTIR to start the season. That's not a surprise. What Holland said was that they need to be cap compliant on day 1. In other words, Klefbom is going to be back sooner than later. The (Oiler hacks) media had been trying to sell the idea that Klefbom was done. Holland suggested the same. No way was he coming back. As such, a dumb choice for Seattle. Now, he is basically just going to be on LTIR for a little while. Fishy. I don't think there's anything wrong with being coy, but it seems they were doing everything they could to imply he was done.
