?? Cole Huckins? Haven't heard that name much Cragg Button seems to like him at 71, so I guess it makes some sense.

I don;t think the press really matters. You have a player that wanted to walk away from the draft and avoid this for awhile. Maybe that is a wise decision on his part or a way to avoid the negative stuff. MTL says we don't care about it. Not important to us.

Well, SB is not my idea of a great source of content. The player's draft rank is anywhere from 35 to 54, so it's not like it was a big reach. Could he perhaps have been picked in the 3rd round? Absolutely, but then again we might not have gotten him. He was BPA according to our list, so who really knows.

Montreal making that first round pick. The kid even asked to be withdrawn from the draft. If he ever plays for MTL, I'm sure there will be a lot of negative press.

There were perhaps a dozen players we could have taken that I would be upset about. In 3 years, there will be some random 3rd rounder that is killing it that we look back at and complain about passing on him.

That's so funny. Only one player had his hopes and dreams crushed so far. The later picks will be banking on being traded to Pittsburg

And WPG ends up with players like Kane, Trouba and Laine. There is a lot of thought that goes into these picks.

Even Powers has said he hasn't decided one way or the other. 1st overall don't care about going to university, they want a big payday. Surpsisingly enough Holloway signed with the Oilers to forgo extra time in college.
