No idea yet on lines/parings or starting goalie. As much as Sutter doesn't want to disrupt, he is not above making changes after a win. If I had to guess, I would think Duehr gets a 2nd game. Goalie? Is there a wrong decision right now? Each choice has it's merits. Hart is a good goalie, so we need to get to him early. Need to score on any PP's that the Refs Union choose to award us, based on length of time since Wideman last played. Hmm, April 8/17. Should start to get a break?

I do believe that whoever was scouting him in BOS deserves the credit. Sutter gave him opportunity, but the skill has to be there. BOS couldn't keep him, they knew that. He could be a huge steal for us.

There was some question about whether he would use up one of their import spots, but they didn't have one available. I read where two guys that are dual citizens (US/CAN) are not counted as imports. Stockton just sent down one of their D, so they have 7D now (IIRC). It is a tough call. Wonder how long it takes to have either Gudbranson or Lucic fight MacEwen. It's weird, since I would have expected Lucic and Guddy to lay a lot of hits last game. Zeros for both.

I think you run the risk of going backwards with Vladdy. He should get one game before the B2B, but choices choices. Marky has had 4 days off. Buffalo is a good choice for next game because we need those games as well. He was behind a tired team in the B2B last time, should he get the first game? Tough choices. I don't think there is a wrong choice right now with the goalies. Vladdy gained confidence against tough teams. Do we want to give Markstrom the tougher start (tired team) in the B2B game or play Vladddy back in BOS? Is Markstrom the better choice against PHI? He shut them down last time.

Good work there RD. Honestly, I hope I am wrong about the Flames/Oilers seeding. I do not want to play them 1st round. We have a hard time winning 1st rounds, as does EDM. Would rather we each fight our own inner demons.

Anaheim is a surprise. LA is about what I expected. Seattle is bad like Van. Seattle will end up trading Gio for something, but he isn't looking like great value yet. That team is making Gru look bad.

Well, obviously a RW is better than a ROW is better than a SOW, but worse is OTL or a RL. The number of outright losses is low. I hope to keep it that way and only rely on loser points for a small bump in the points total.

Sutter is seemingly playing everyone on the roster, whether 7th or 8th D or injury callup. Nice to see that, especially if you get a call up. Saying that, I think we have seen some questionable usage recently. Against Ottawa, we had a reasonably balanced set of lines. I still think the lines are a work in progress. Gaudreau-Lindholm-Tkachuk Mangiapane-Monahan-Dube Coleman-Backlund-Duehr Lucic-Lewis-Pitlick I'm not really a fan of Richardson. He had a great play when he stopped the puck from dribbling in behind the goalie, but otherwise can be invisible. Not really doing much to spark Lucic or Lewis or Pitlick. We should either look at a depth C or call up one. Have a couple of choices in Stockton; Ruzicka or Gawdin. Ruzicka is looking too good to keep on the farm, and a call up wouldn't be the wrong thing to do to reward him. He's not going to do a lot of scoring on the 4th line, but I would like to see if he has defensive skills to go with the offense. Lord knows Richardson is doing little.

Wolfie had a rough game in the B2B against Henderson. Kinda killed his GAA and SA%. Sutter no-nonsense about starting Vladar. Said the plan was to give Marky a break. Still calling him raw but doing the things a backup needs to do.

Would that not be a happy story for the Flames? You don't think Markstrom is worth the term and dollars. Having a surprise come up and steal the gig? Priceless. Just kidding. I think Marky has miles left on him. Wasn't completely ruined by the Nucks.

I think they are developing some chemistry. It's a bit of a shame,but it is what it is. They don't get beat physically on plays. On that last sequence, Kylington was hooked/held so obviously, he gave up the puck. A legal play and Kyl doesn;t lose that battle. I like our D this year. No obvious weak players.

I was happy with the Big Z trade before the season. A little less happy with his start to the season. A little happier with some of his recent play and the little things.

He was one of the most frustrating players from the AVS we faced in the playoffs. Hits any size player. Stick is like 7 feet long.

Mangiapane and Gaudreau are sniffing the net. One of them will get a goal.

Meanwhile we have players Xchecked in the spine and they call little taps on the shinpads (Matthews falls) or lifting a guys stick called hooking.
