  1. Go knock over a line of Leafs fans. It's messy but not the worst. Tkachuk looks a bit off. Johnny gettin zero support. Ras playing well. Kylington with a bad read but recovered.
  2. Campbell sporting a shutout. B2B shutouts for him?
  3. Some needless giveaways tonight allowing TO extended zone time. Tighen up the screws, man.
  4. This has the feel of the PITTS game. Not really being outplayed, just 3 PK's. Time to score one.
  5. Matthews falls with a stick near to his feet. Scoreless road game, good start.
  6. Any surprise we get the first penalty? It was one no doubt, but I've seen more blatant ones.
  7. I shall trash him until he scores a goal. He's not bad in the O-zone, but an adventure in the D zone.
  8. No call on the X check eh? Typical. If that's the standard, then no ticky calls.
  9. Zaddy with his usual giveaway with zero pressure. That's all for tonight one hopes. Mangiapane with the scoring chance; scored one the same way last night.
  10. Let's put the Leafs in a hole early. It's Iggy night folks. Johnny hasn't has a hatty in months.
  11. Things even out as the season goes on. The calls that is. We have had one of the toughest schedules so far compared to some other teams. That's not an excuse as much as an observation. For some it doesn't get any tougher. I'm okay with it because it builds character. No easy nights. A loss in MTL is not the end of the world. The fact we scored just one goal should be a concern. I wouldn't say we were outplayed, just that we gave them way too much PP time and our PK was flawed. I'm not sure why we had both Tanev and Guddy out there at the same time. Two RHS. Oh well. Let's see how this roadie unfolds before we start worrying about the season. All teams adjust. Get our backup playing more. Get the lines more familiar with each other. Evaluate the players and see if they are struggling individually or as a line player.
  12. Well, they have an easy schedule to start the season. Helps keep fans invested in the belief they are a contender. I'm not sure what they have proven so far. A bunch of wins to start, against a bunch of backups. Lucky to get Vegas and Boston when they are in a skid. Defense is actually worse, but some argue Keith and Ceci are better than Bear and Larsson. The players beyond the top 5 are suspect. McD, Drai, Nuge, Hyman and Poolie. Foegele and Ryan doing little. Yamamoto struggling. Perlini, Turris, McLeod, Scevior are fringe players. Perlini was the typical "score a bunch in pre-season" type.
  13. They played a heavy game and some of the hits left them open to counter attack. It was less vintage Markstrom, but I don't think he was bad. Just the number of penalties we were called on was stupid. Ticky tack calls. MTL was a bunch of gentlemen I guess. Lots of picks let go. Plenty of grabbing. Andersson was called and he wasn;t the one holding.
  14. Not much positive to say about that game. Markstrom not 100% in his positioning on the GWG. It was a poor play at the O-zone by Kylington that created the one on one. Guddy had him, but Marky left his post. The other two goals were deflections that were in the crease and we ended up there 2nd. Tkachuk was okay, but he looked slow at times. The PP not really clicking, though we had what, one chance?
  15. What poor coverage there. Markstrom really bailed there. I thought it was Guddy, but no.
  16. Absolutely stupid. Pretty one sides in the calls. We get a call when it's 4 on 4, then called again to make a 4 on 3?
  17. Penalties are really getting out of hand. As usual the Flames only ones being called.
  18. The D nneds to clean up the garbage in the crease. Two goals scored by MTL this game on rebounds where the F got behind the goalie.
  19. Tkachuk skates sometimes like he's wearing rubber boots.
  20. Ok Hanifin, get back to what you had done early in the season. Sheesh.
