This guy first reported a 1st included.
This sounds like something that makes sense, and includes the cost of in division trades.
And retention

Like this one (if true):
Noah Hanifin trade details: #VegasBorn receive: Noah Hanifin (50% retained) #Flames receive: Nicolas Hague, David Edstrom, 2024 1st, 2025 conditional pick (either 3rd or 4th)
This if true is a good return
-
Ok 2 things, it’s odd that the trade is confirmed but no details, so maybe…return is contingent on an extension? I could see it holding the details Up.
second, getting this done frees Conroy up for the next two days to kinda sit back and see what other teams offer…no pressure and has the luxury to simply sit back and only bite on something really good

Typical VGK style though.. let everybody duke it out .. then just come in last minute and beat it
Yup 100% that’s how they do

Not a true sign and trade.
But I don't think it will be hard to get one done
Well if no extension, then it’s a pretty good
deal

Just remember.. TB FLA and BOS had nothing to give.. VGK only had to beat them.. the bar is pretty low
Yeh, Hanifin kinda screwed us that way

only a 2nd??
That’s disappointing but Edstrom and Korczak are wins
LVK may have wanted to keep
their pick where as the draft is in LVK

Extension also in the works, so much for the Tampa talk.
1 minute ago, travel_dude said:Deal is done. Not sure what it includes, but 1st believed to be part.
Where are you getting this info? I can’t keep up your awesome on the info!

Brisson would just be funny at this point
Agreed Brisson not
worth it, Edstrom would be..and Hague would fill a need now too…
-
Just now, travel_dude said:
Totally guessing here:
1st + Edstrom + Hague
They trade a guy in Europe and a D that would get religated to 7th with a full roster.
Is that a decent deal or way too much.
No seems right not blow
your mind away but a solid return

Heard mentioned Brisson or Edstrom.
Top prospects perhaps.
Vegas didn't get where they are by overpaying though.
This sounds more
like it…Edstrom is a good Ctr prospect

Lukas Cormier plus a first perhaps for Hanifin via trade with Vegas. For a rental?
Add endstrom and replace Cormier with one of the other two big 2nd round D from canada they have….
also, I believe LVK was also one of the teams he would consider signing with too.

Yup good deal for Anh horrible and kinda desperate move for the Oil

Newest rumour (from a guy with 3500 followers) is that the Flames have a contract offer to Hanifin in the upper $8M range in case they don't like the offers for him. Like What the AF? Won't sign long term at mid 7's. Messes with trades to teams not on his 8 team list. Craters his own trade value and we are wanting to pay him more?
Get creative before you even think about signing him at almost Nurse money.
100% agreed

Coleman's contract is hard to contending teams to absorb. Too expensive for too long for a 2/3rd liner.
This is why I think Dal may in the summer less term and Joe should be gone so that’s a little over 3 mil into the Coleman contract…maybe 20% retention with a reasonable return this off season would work…he goes to his home
state with contending team…
again don’t see it this TDL unless another contender wants him but I don’t see Coleman wanting to go anywhere besides Dal…he dose love Cgy and we love him so I can only see a Dal move for him which I don’t see this TDL but in the summer it would make a lot of sense

COL swaps Byram + Johnsen + 1st and get a top 4 RD and a 2nd line C (who effectively replaces Kadri). What amazing work.
I don't understand BUF who has LD galore and having a tough time making D pairings, goes adds another LD in Byram. Dahlin and Byram will have to play on their weak sides.
PHI going into the playoffs but still selling. Interesting.
Col mgt is very smart, they are leveraging what little they have to get younger without draft picks for the most part.

I think the chances of Coleman being moved are extremely slim.
I think the team loves him, sees him as a key part of what they are doing, and by all accounts he loves it here.
I don't think Mang is in the same boat.
I get it but I’m of the opinion Dal may take a run at him Pelvski (sp?) is getting old and Coleman is a perfect replacement for him…off season this summer not this TDL

Wondering if we may see Mangiapane's name out there more in the next 48 hrs. UFA following next season and while I do like his game, if your going into a retool and can get an asset or 2 for him I think he makes sense to move.
His spot alongside Backs and Coleman is a perfect integration spot for young players.
TBH…Manji, Coleman, Markstrom I see as summer moves if not next TDL moves in the case of Manji and Coleman.
though, if an offer of reasonable size cannon for Coleman this year (TDL or summer) I’d take it cause his value won’t get much higher…Manji can and has had better years so I’d wait on him hopping he rebounds next year to even the year after his value ATM is at an all time
low since he broke out.

I would consider both of them actually.
At the very least we should be waiving Oesterle or Gilbert and make a roster move (on paper) if required to claim either. I get the sense we won't get Hanifin traded until the last minute.
Is LA making a move for someone not being mentioned? I don't know why they decided to do it today, unless they are completing a trade very soon.
What exactly is rumoured around Rooney? Where? Possible returns?

So for all those who thought Bryam wasn’t possible out of Col…he was and that’s a missed opportunity

Im wondering if TBL may consider a UFA swap? Haden Flurry and 2026 first for Hanifin.
flurry is a big stay at home
D but very little offence…Cgy needs a big physical stay at home D so that’s kind of a fit need wise…TBL on the other hand need a offensive D in the mold of Hanifin…the offensive D generally are worth more on the open market so the 2026 first and TBH I think Hanifin is viewed as the better of the two.
Who knows maybe Cgy is talking extension with Flurry while TBL dose the same with Hanifin?
just spot balling but with a 2026 first and where Tanev is gone Flurry is a great fit for the 2nd D line. With any luck TBL will be in decline and that could be a mid first rounder. Also that’s the draft year for Bedard’s cousin who’s lighting it up right now too…ups the odds, just saying.

How about a 3 way trade.
Boston
Hannifin
NJD
Ullmark
Cgy (Van 1st)
Cgy
Nemec or Mercer
Holtz
Actually not a bad idea…not sure if that Van 1st is needed and if anything else is needed Bos can add not Cgy.
otherwise 👍

maybe Hanifin and Markstrom? That seems like a big haul for just Hanifin....That’s exactly what I was thinking, seems like a reasonable return for both Markstrom and Hanifin

Well the trade is happening…TSN is reporting it…the lack of details has me worried, they are reporting it but it’s not registered in the trade tracker, they usually have TBD but nothing?
