This is why I think Dal may in the summer less term and Joe should be gone so that’s a little over 3 mil into the Coleman contract…maybe 20% retention with a reasonable return this off season would work…he goes to his home state with contending team… again don’t see it this TDL unless another contender wants him but I don’t see Coleman wanting to go anywhere besides Dal…he dose love Cgy and we love him so I can only see a Dal move for him which I don’t see this TDL but in the summer it would make a lot of sense

Col mgt is very smart, they are leveraging what little they have to get younger without draft picks for the most part.

TBH…Manji, Coleman, Markstrom I see as summer moves if not next TDL moves in the case of Manji and Coleman. though, if an offer of reasonable size cannon for Coleman this year (TDL or summer) I’d take it cause his value won’t get much higher…Manji can and has had better years so I’d wait on him hopping he rebounds next year to even the year after his value ATM is at an all time low since he broke out.

Im wondering if TBL may consider a UFA swap? Haden Flurry and 2026 first for Hanifin. flurry is a big stay at home D but very little offence…Cgy needs a big physical stay at home D so that’s kind of a fit need wise…TBL on the other hand need a offensive D in the mold of Hanifin…the offensive D generally are worth more on the open market so the 2026 first and TBH I think Hanifin is viewed as the better of the two. Who knows maybe Cgy is talking extension with Flurry while TBL dose the same with Hanifin? just spot balling but with a 2026 first and where Tanev is gone Flurry is a great fit for the 2nd D line. With any luck TBL will be in decline and that could be a mid first rounder. Also that’s the draft year for Bedard’s cousin who’s lighting it up right now too…ups the odds, just saying.

Ok so the hockey writes are hoping to see a Hanifn to NJD trade with 20% retention (no sure why this is but this is what they feel) for Mercer Holtz 2024 first 2025 second are these guys on crack? I mean I’d love that 100% but is it me or dose that seem kinda unrealistic? the only way I see anylike that happening is if Markstrom was going the other way with 20% retained…unless it’s a sign and trade with Hanifin but can’t see Any team retaining 20% on a new contract over 7 or 8 years that make no sense. anyway, I believe these Hockh Writers are a bit off to say the least.
