Personally Im still set on Schenn out of philly. I think he would fit perfectly with russell on the second pairing allowing us to move wideman down to the third pairing. If wotherspoon isent ready out of camp you can always sign someone like schlemko to play the 3rd pairing minutes with wideman or even engelland( thought I dont really like that). It would give us far more balanced D pairings and overall more balanced minutes.

Personally I dont think we keep both smid and engelland both have big contracts and are no more then 6D. Id like to see both gone to be honest, and see something like this. Gio - Brodie Russell- ? Wotherspoon- Wideman If we can find a big, punishing D to play with Russell that would be a perfect world. Allowing us to roll all 3 D pairings and reducing minutes. I think Wideman and wotherspoon would be great on the 3rd pairing together.

I would actually rather see something like; JH- mony- ? ?- bennet-hudler Bouma-Backs- ? ?-Stajan-? Im not sure which players you slot in those spots, but hudler would slot in nicely on bennets wing. Im thinking you find a power forward to play on monys wing, and then someone like colborne or ferland could slot in on bennets LW. Im assuming Jorris or Jones would fill the 3rd line RW position. That gives us a pretty potent top 6, and our bottom 6 would be pretty capable as well.

I think raymonds play the other night on I want to say on the 3rd goal where he gave away the puck in the offensive zone, and his defensive effort on schiefle was pretty much how hes played all season, just no effort and bad choices.

its not a bad gamble to pay someone 750k on a one year contract on the chance he might make your club. I dont necessarily agree with your statement on gambles, as well I dont think you could consider the phaneuf trade a gamble, it worked out great for both teams.

was not impressed with the referees last night, they seemed to be missing alot of calls on both teams, and making calls on other things. One of the bad games ive seen in a while. Although our top pairing seems to be better and better every game.
