Ok so we know JJ wants to take a goalie!! Of the 2 I could get behind a Wallstedt pick but Cossa looks a big round 1 gamble to me. Afterall our past successes with goalies in the first round is not very impressive. Vasileveskey arguably the best goalie in the league right now but Subban taken 5 picks later is a backup at best. Jury is still out Askarov Spencer Knight looks like he will be a solid goaltender and Oetteinger has played 26 games for Dallas So is Cossa more Subban or Vasilevsky? Is Wallestedt the next Fleury? Or is there a Domink Hasek sonewhere in the later rounds? There is no guarantee taking one of these top 2 goaile prospects is a recipe for success. Taking a goalie in round 1 is a huge gamble. I think I would be in the camp of making a safer pick in round 1. If Wallstedt falls to 12 then.....

Might have been a no brainer but BT got the exposure list correct. I am hopeful he doesn't make a last minute move and waste any picks on protecting players.

From what I've read if Edvinsson dropped to us that would be great. but I would happily take Cole Sillinger with his pedigree and performance as a 16 year old in the WHL I think he will be a solid pick. To JJ's disgust I am not taking a goalie in the first round even if Wallstedt is there for us! Not keen on McTavish - something about that surname I just cannot get behind.

Puck was already in the net. There is no need for the hit whatsoever. It was intent to injure. League got it partly right with 4 games but should have been the series. Now if it goes to 6 we get mayham in a game. Which is probably what they want anyways for the marketing and TV purposes.

Lativa loses 1-2 in regulation so Canada scrape through in 4th and play Russia I think the rest are Switzerland v Germany USA v Slovaks Finland v Czechs

Nope they finish ahead of Kazakstan I think as they beat them in the head to head. However anything but a regualtion win for Germany or Lativa sees them out of the quarters.

Actuallly I think if we win we go through regardless.. Kazakstan currently 3rd with 10 points They are done no more games to play Germany Canada Lativa all with 9 and 1 game to play. So Canada Germany and Lativa can all get 3rd or 4th. So reg win Canada will end 12 points. If one of Germany or Lativa win in regulation that team would be on 12 so both would go through with Canada being 4th. If OT win for Germany or Lativa that team wiould be on 11 points and loser 10 points. Canada wins in OT they would be on 11 points so would go though. Loser point we would be on 10 and we can still go through if Germany or Lativa win in regulation as the loser would be on 9 and we win the tie break agaisnt Kazaksan all very confusing.....

Becasue we lost to both Lativa and Germany if Canada end up level with either team I believe we lose the tie break. If we lose Canada are out. If they beat Finalnd in reg or OT they go will through to the quarters If they get a loser point in OT and Lativa or Germany wins their game in regulation they should also go through as they will be level with Kazakstan on points but as they beat them they win the tie break. If Lativa or Germany get a loser point and Canada only gets a loser point they go out. Thats how I read it anyways. Been a real weird championships with lots of upsets.
