Damn Wings. OT loss to Dallas. They can go toe-to-toe with the best, just stuck at the hump of closing it out. Husso playing great. Jonny Burgers looking good to start his career, about a .75ppg pace, great playmaker and high IQ. He’s been one of the better players bringing the puck in the O zone. Raymond in that sophomore thing, handling the puck like it’s a grenade. Chiarot constantly thinking he’s the Seider of the pairing is flat out painful.

That was annoying, Andersson looked way too comfortable and without urgency, like he’d beat the forechecker easily. He didn’t, 4-4. Huberdeau taking that penalty was nothing short of idiotic. We are a, “put the puck on net and hope for the best” team. Clearly under siege in the D zone at times, as usual.

That was a weak call. I hate PP goals on weak penalties, ruins the game.

I used to hate the Leafs. I still do, but I used to too.

I do miss Mony’s ability to cleanly win most every PP draw he took, broken body and all.

I’m going to assume Phillips draws in tonight against the faster transition team. Yeah…I’m going to go ahead and assume that… If not, why call him up at all??

Fan impatience.lol Rosey’s never had a problem putting up points. He’s ALWAYS had a problem figuring out the rest. Watching him in jr was equal cheer and facepalm. He would be standing right beside the LDman in the O zone at times, completely uncertain between O and D responsibility. It’s been a long road for him transitioning from European ice. When people think it’s easy, there are lots of players that failed. He was borderline, literally took years. Could always put up points is all that saved him because the rest was yikes. I cheer him hard because he looked lost cause for quite a while. I can get with how Sutter has coached him. There’s a ton of wrinkles there that the points hide. Sutter’s offering him a long career. Signing a 2yr tells me Rosey wants to be coached this way and likely knows it is out of necessity. Like with the Sting, the points blind everyone. Beneath that, he was utterly and frustratingly unreliable. Great to see that he knows that.

Quick, somebody tell me how to feel. As Rsquared said, Christmas bonus? Can Sutter ease him in or does the size frustrate him fast? I have to admit the Rosie handling is beginning to look masterful. Phillips deserved a call-up, now it’s time to worry about him.lol Zohorna, no thanks. No way Lewis is coming out. No reason he should.
