Turcotte seems like a total bust. Was there some injury post-draft that derailed his career or what happened to him?

Some insiders are trying to link Markstrom to BT and the Leafs this summer. Depends on what the Leafs do with Samsonov. Could Markstrom land TOR's 22nd overall? Or maybe a 2nd round pick with no salary retention?

BUF fired their entire coaching staff yesterday. Kevyn Adams also was quiet last summer. So would this year be different? Are they tired of missing the playoffs for 13 straight years? Would BUF be motivated to move their 11th pick for immediate help like Rasmus Andersson?

Unweighted draft lottery. Sucks DET is a bad team but is going to get penalized with the 15/16th pick because they didn't trade away everyone with a pulse at the TDL. DET tried to win to the very end. Literally the team that misses the playoffs barely gets the worst ending of the season. Anyways, DET future is looking bright. So many young prospects ready to enter their primes. Next year should be the year to make the playoffs.

Regulation Wins is the first tie-breaker. NJD currently has 33. Flames have 31. (SEA has 27). Therefore no way for the Flames to be 10th now. We need SEA to get 1-point more than the Flames on Thursday to move up to 8th. Flames play SJS at home while SEA plays MIN on the road. In other words, it's 98% chance Flames go into the lottery at #9.

Interesting. I can see the appeal of Silayev. He's playing against men already in the KHL at 17. He jumps in on the rush a lot and is fast enough to come back on D. We shouldn't be surprised if he goes #2 overall to be honest. I'm also not too surprised Dickinson is ranked #7 for NA... he's "raw"... one of these code words for "he has all the tools but doesn't have the tool box". Buium ranked #4 is smarter and more finesse. Less brute force. Trevor Connelly ranked at #6 ahead of Dickinson, Catton, Eiserman, and Iginla... who? Is he that good?

Called up Klapka for the final two games. Kuzmenko should rest the remainder of the season. He deserves a break after all his hard work last week.

Well it's sad because RNH would be the Flames #1 Center right now if he was here. I get what you are saying but at the same time, that's still a #1 Center this team doesn't have. If we can draft Celebrini, then it's not something we should trade down from. Furthermore, it seems Levshunov is the only true #1 D in this draft. All the other prospects have question marks that hold them back. They either focus too much on offense and don't play D, or they have medium IQ and only ranked high because they are physically bigger than everyone else. Trading with MTL for the 6/7th pick is a big gamble. I would take the next RNH.
