Gonna hear a whole bunch of “It’s do or die!”, “We just gotta win one at home”, “Win the next 3 or go home”, “It’s another game 7 for us” but will this team show up on Thursday ? Haven’t played a complete game let alone complete period since Game 1. This game was better?…but we still lost. 3 in a row now. Maybe this will spark more of that urgency we caught throughout this game but this Battle of Alberta has been one sided so far. Shame we pretty much battled ourselves this series

Same team!..minus Tanev! j The Oilers have 100% exposed the Flames, I’ll give Woodcroft credit , he’s very clearly and finally has the Coilers playing a detailed game at both ends. They’ve exploited Flames too often and have capitalized on those opportunities. Markstrom has been very bad but he’s playing behind a team getting outplayed and quite frankly out coached at this point.

We’ve allowed 6,5 and 4 goals every game so far, Flames haven’t shown they can shut this team down once unfortunately. We need to score next if we want to consider taking this game over tho. That Markstrom gaffe was a dagger. Don’t see us coming back if we go down 3

If Oilers score next I’m shutting this game off for the rest of the night. Down 2 goals already in a must win and both have been self inflicted, it’s such poor hockey by this team at the most important time if the year, this has been hard to watch 🤢

Loving the GTD and the positivity! I myself am still traumatized from witnessing that demoralizing loss in person on Sunday lol…just tough to watch. Can’t wash my Flames jersey enough to get that Oilers stench off! This is a massive game. Im rooting for a big win tonight but after what these eyes have seen I’m not surprised if we are staring down elimination Thursday night, we really need a win tonight! We’ve bounced back all year! Go Flames Go!!!!

The spinnoramas got to a point of ridiculousness. I remember telling the lady sitting next to me the Oilers will be doing triple axels by the 3rd! Stone is a liability on D, big body, big shot but he’s easy to get pucks behind. It just looked as though the majority of our players didn’t have the hockey IQ to adapt on the fly. We had even less space and time than we had against Dallas. Oilers just keep spinning off of just bouncing away from contact. Flames keep going for hits only to be left out of position. They fanned on countless shots let alone passes. They just started trying to force plays to their detriment. Seriously hope Sutter isn’t simply preaching “stick with it” at this point. This is over in Calgary if we don’t figure the next game out.

I wish it was simply a matter of the Flames playing on their heels, they aren’t playing scared. They’re playing outplayed..sure McDavid is willing his team to wins but we are straight up playing poor defence and our system is not working as effectively or efficiently as theirs. I’m actually looking for some structural changes at this point…I know Sutter will lean on the foundation that got them through the regular season but we need to make some X and O’s changes. Flames are very predictable right now, our PP is telegraphed , our entries , cycling, dump ins are predictable. It’s how we kept getting caught on odd man rushes , turning over pucks and weren’t able to generate any major possession time and rarely able to get a high chance shot off. Trust me this isn’t merely about lack of effort or pinning it on Marky or the refs, the Flames blueprint for success has been exposed, Oilers have been able to adapt to it and are exploiting it. Flames aren’t going to hit their way out of this.

We’ll..I just witnessed that in person. It’s much different seeing the game transpire with full ice in view. Flames are in trouble. Oilers have better positioning , better sticks and checking than us right right. Flames shot selection is horrid. But Oilers are actually doing a good job playing as a unit. Trust me. This was a traumatic experience for me but from what I saw the Flames are going to have to play a near perfect 60 Mins game to win tie this up. They are in Markys head at this point, just really poor line changes and the overall battle of the Flames wasn’t there tonight. Tough road game. Even tougher to watch as a Flames fan at Rogers Place. Breaking the shutout was the only positive
