Malarchuk was hired by the Flames on June 17, 2011...

I expressed that same concern earlier in the season... Malarchuk played a total of 338 games in the NHL and his record was not what I would call stellar... He also spent only one season as goaltending coach with the Panthers, Blue Jackets and Thrashers, and that says something as well...
