A good loss, but the one thing Cgy shot too much from the outside, over passed and hardly no bodies screening the goalie…

otherwise good team play, NYR played pretty good till the 3rd and their goalie was solid

We had enough decent chances to score at least one.

Of the good ones, we missed on the rebounds and shot without traffic.

Or we completely missed the net (Kadri and Hanifin).

What messed up up a bit was that lines got messed up after Pelletier's 1st shift.

Duehr playing with Huberdeau.

Kuz playing with 4th line guys.

I'm, not looking for excuses.

We have to sometimes be perfect when we aren't scoring.

1-0 or 10-0 doesn't much matter.

No, we were talking about him flying in sideways into Marky and the net.

He looked like he was gonna miss a couple of shift at least.

Never missed a shift.

Pelletier on the other hand is done.  Again.

Is it bad for Pelletier? Rough. Shut him down the rest of the year and get him healthy and strong.

Well, you can't tell what the injury was.  I saw a hit to the head/neck.

He was favoring his arm/shoulder.

I didn't see the pricipal point of contact being the shoulder.

A concussion scare will take the player out of the game.

So would a rotator.

You can shut a player down if the injury warrants it.

Once healthy, you could send him down to the AHL and not play him, but is that any good.

I think that he may need to change his game if these are the type of injury to expect.

A winger that plays hard on the boards will get the big check.

It was a bit of a suicide play, but you have to be aware.

Or you have to do what Gaudreau did and have escape velocity.

He rarely got hit, because he was never stopped.

The play was bad because he turned blind to the coming check.

No way would anyone let him just make a play without hitting.

Trouba hit him the moment the puck was near him.

Johnny would have been away from the boards and bail if he had to.

What I am saying is that he needs to adapt to what he can absorb.

If a board hit is going to put him out every time, then something has to change.

In this situation, there were 2-3 Rangers in front of him and 2 behind him.

Mangiapane suffered through a year after a hit of some sort.

If you are playing big, then learn to take it or learn to avoid it.

He can have a long career or a short one.

He's not built like Debrincat so figure it out.
